I understand that this is just a promotional picture and they're still keeping his look in the show the same anyway, but at the same time I feel like I'm betraying his regular trenchcoat. I'm in the middle of going "how dare they with this fuckery?" because the trenchcoat goddammit!, but also I'm in the leagues with everyone else that Misha looks damn good in black. I mean, think about what he wore at Chicon '09 and apply that to Castiel-esque attire, just minus the waistcoat.

THEY ARE CONFUSING ME WITH THIS, DAMMIT. HOW SHOULD I BE REACTING? EMBRACE AND ENJOY THE PRETTY? WACKY PARALLEL UNIVERSE SPIN-OFFS WITH CASTIEL HAVING AN EVIL!TWIN? BE ALL LULZ OVER IT? FEEL BETRAYED? I CAN'T EVEN, BRAIN IS BROKE NOW.

I highly doubt it's gonna be in the show, this was just a substitute for the photoshoot or whatever, but yeah even if it's him it's not him. You know?

LOL "CASTEEEEEEEL" WOULD TOTALLY WEAR SOMETHING LIKE THIS. HIS EVIL TWIN OR DOPPELGANGER FROM A PARALLEL UNIVERSE. A WORMHOLE OPENED UP SOMEWHERE IN THE SPNVERSE AND THE TWO UNIVERSES COLLIDED, THUS THIS BLACK-TRENCH-WEARING BAMF ANGEL OF THE LORD CAME ENTERING THROUGH, WHERE HE MEETS UP WITH OUR CASTIEL. AND SHENANIGANS HAPPEN.

THERE MIGHT BE A DUEL FOR DEAN'S AFFECTIONS OR SOMETHING, IDK. BUT THE IDEA OF TWO CASTIEL'S IS TOO GOOD TO PASS UP. ;D

Just imagine the confusion and the angst when there is an evil parallel universe Castiel that is like our Castiel in some sense. But not really. He kinda looks and even acts like Castiel, just evil. And Dean may be forced to kill Casteel which will feel like killing Castiel so he may not be able to go through with it.
Oh, the possibilities!

Therefore revealing not just how much he values Castiel as a friend but also unveiling certain feelings he has for his angel. Because we know of their "profound bond" but in seeing Dean go through that kind of mental process of those feelings, of his connection to Castiel and despite this version being evil he still thinks of him as being his Cas, and a whole lot of conflict goes with that.

OMG! Yes! That would be awesome and epic! Especially if Casteel tries to seduce Dean with his sexy wiles because he's more in tune with his human side making our Castiel jealous and possessive. Mm.

I would love to see our Castiel being like that, jealous and possessive over his Dean, and finally taking claim of him.

In fact, this could be a great opportunity for Dean and Castiel to finally get it together with each other. Since you know all the unresolved sexual tension between the two, perhaps Casteel, aside from creating trouble with other things, senses this and decides to take matters in his own hands. Whether intentional to make them realize their love or not, Casteel will definitely play his own game of seducing Dean in various ways until our Castiel finally steps in and overpowers him.

OMG THIS IS STARTING TO REALLY GET TO MY BRAIN. I WANT THIS TO BE WRITTEN LIKE, NOW. :DDD
