Day 13 - Favorite childhood book and/or current favorite YA book

I really liked Sarah's Unicorn by Bruce and Katherine Coville. I don't know what attracted me to it, I think it was the story in combination of the artwork that drew me in and it's been stuck with me ever since. Though the funny thing? We don't even own it, at the time we kept borrowing it from the library as kids, but we didn't even have a copy. Not even now. This needs to be redeemed, methinks. Although I don't think it's on the market anymore?

I also read the Goosebumps series by R.L. Stine quite a bit, too. But I think everyone did. Heh.

Me too. Just the other day I found my old copy of The Werewolf Of Fever Swamp. I love that book because it has a werewolf on the cover; my grandma bought it for my birthday years ago because she said it was the least scary looking Goosebumps cover.

lol! I would pick the scariest cover ever, really. Or the most weird/grotesque/spooky looking one. Night of the Living Dummy, The Haunted Mask, Say Cheese and Die, etc. But I think one of the attractions of the books was how the covers looked, so interesting seeing the artwork and what you could guess what the story was about before you read it. Also the titles and the taglines.

Did you watch the tv series? The best thing about waking up Saturday morning was catching Goosebumps. ;D

So true. I still remember that the first Goosebumps book I ever bought was The Horror at Camp Jellyjam. Before I sold most of my Goosebumps books to the used bookstore I probably had over a hundred maybe two. I even had the Goosebumps board game! So many wonderful memories.

You could probably still track down that book.

Who didn't read Goosebumps? I loved the one that you could choose your own journey so there were multiple endings.

Perhaps at a used bookstore or by ways of eBay, I think.

OMG yes, I loved those ones! :D :D :D

I still have a whole bunch of them. Not the entire collection, but I'm hoping to finish it someday!
