Give me a character from any fandom I know at least fairly well, and I will tell you:

E) One person he/she never fell in love with, and why

You all know my fandoms. ;) I really need something to distract myself today. I'm not feeling my best with a mixture of allergies and a headache so, yeah. That or you can spam me with...things. I don't care. I just need this day to kinda go away. Blaah.

Robert Fischer

01. My OTP: I don't have an OTP for Robert, to be honest with you. He seems more like a lone wolf. However, I do find the thought of a possible Fischer/Eames pairing interesting, because Eames did spend some time with him and got to know him on that personal level a little bit. Not necessarily an OTP really (because that's Arthur/Eames), but such a thought for a dabble into.

03. The anti-ship: I don't know? lol

04. My unpopular fannish opinion on said character: I don't really have one.

05. The one character he/she never fell in love with, and why: Cobb, because he believed he was his subconscious so it would be like falling in love with himself, lol.


Severus Snape

01. My OTP: Snape/Lily. I always thought it was kinda cute, even if it was tragic in the end. If anything all of that backstory made Snape incredibly redeemable as the books went on once you understood where he was coming from, you know?

02. The runner up: N/A

03. The anti-ship: Snape/Harry. I just never got the fascination behind the pairing. But then again, the Harry Potter fandom had quite a handful of really odd/squirky pairings involved. Snape/Harry would be considered tame compared to the others.

04. My unpopular fannish opinion on said character: I don't find Snape attractive. I find Alan Rickman attractive, but Snape being the character from the books definitely not since he isn't described as such. I think fandom kind of glamorizes him due to Rickman's performance (not blaming him, he's obviously very awesome by default). But whenever I see fanfic out there they always describe him as he is in the movies and it kind of bugs me a bit. I find Snape fascinating as a character, but not in that way.

05. The one character he/she never fell in love with, and why: Sirius Black, because of the animosity between them. Besides, we all know that Sirius was fucking Remus, and if anything that would have made Snape bleach his eyes out anyway. ;)

Yeah, same here. I find them very fascinating. I've been debating going to find fic, but... Arthur/Eames is just so OTP it's not even funny.

I am with you on Snape/Harry and Snape/Lily. I adore Snape and Lily, and the little bits and hints we get of them over the course of the series are just fantastic. One of the most genius things about Rowling is the way she turns what the audience already knows on its head- the whole "Worst Memory" bit from OotP takes on a whole different meaning when you know what Snape lost that day, why it was his worst memory.

I really think there should be a genfic for Fischer/Eames, like what was Eames thinking when he was hearing Fischer tell his story? And with that end, after everything. That would be nice to see in fandom (if there haven't been one already, I haven't been searching hard enough).

It really does, and that's why I consider Snape/Lily the most tragic pairings ever. I loved how JKR wrote and spaced it out like that, it's just amazing.

I'm sort of writing something like that, but it's kind of weird and will probably never get finished (like so much else I write, heh). I wonder what is out there; I haven't done much looking either.

And I agree, Snape/Lily is definitely one of the most tragic pairings ever. There are so many twists and hidden depths to that storyline. Again, I agree; JKR is so amazing.

(I swear, I always forget how much I really adore Snape/Lily until it comes up. I am fairly certain it is my ultimate OTP of the entire series.)
