04. My unpopular fannish opinion on said character: I really don't know if this is unpopular or not, but I really love Gaius. I really do. I think he's the most human character of the entire show and went through a huge character change from the beginning of the series to the very end. With all his faults and flaws and mistakes, I think Gaius grew the most out of all the characters. I wouldn't have him any other way.
05. One person he/she would never fall in love with, and why: Anyone that isn't Caprica-Six. I mean he is a manwhore and has slept around with many people, humans and Cylons alike, but he could never love anyone like he does her.

03. The anti-ship: Draco/Hermione and Draco/Ginny. The former is just strange to me because I never understood the fascination with it to be honest. I guess I could get behind the pairing from AVPM, but other than that no. And the latter is just a disgrace I can't even.
04. My unpopular fannish opinion on said character: I'm not entirely sure if I have unpopular opinions on Draco in general, tbh. I do have some about fanon in how they portray him sometimes, but that's neither here nor there.
05. One person he/she never fell in love with, and why: Ron, because he's a Weasley and a ginger.

01. My OTP: Zoe/Philomon was cute while it lasted, although I don't particularly have an OTP for Zoe at this moment besides that.
02. The runner up: Zoe/Lacy and Zoe/Tamara. The former because there's a certain kind of loyalty and chemistry between the two, especially with Lacy's devotion to her best friend. And with Tamara, the level of badassness they would be together as hinted at for the second half of the season is irresistible to me. :)

04. My unpopular fannish opinion on said character: Unlike some people, I absolutely love and adore Zoe. I think people tend to think of her attitude as bratty which, hello, of course she is. She's an angry teenage virtual copy of a deceased girl trapped inside of a robot. I understand a lot about Zoe from what we've seen of her, and I hold lots of sympathy towards her situation, which I think people get turned off because of, but whatever. I love Alessandra and I think she's doing amazingly well in this role.
05. One person he/she never fell in love with, and why: That one dude from the beginning, Philomon's buddy. He insulted her and called her a thing. Son of a bitch got what was coming to him when she bit his fingertip off, lol.

What I also love about Alessandra is her performance and how she's really given the role something different, and I think the two-hour pilot was really telling of that. I liked how she played the two different versions of Zoe, and she's progressed as the season went on to being utterly adorable and badass all at once. I'm really rooting for Zoe, I am.

01. My OTP: At first I kinda liked the idea of Paul/Echo, but then it shifted to Paul/Mellie. In a non-creepy kind of way, even though it technically kinda already is. Then it went back to Paul/Echo again.
02. The runner up: I would have liked to have seen Caroline and Paul together, the Caroline before she'd gotten wiped that is. Wouldn't it have been an interesting twist if Paul had actually known Caroline before she was taken by the Dollhouse, and that's what spurred his obsession? I always felt like that would have been something nice to see, if they previously knew each other and it was revealed that Paul himself was a doll to forget she ever existed until it was brought to his attention. idk, my brain works in odd ways.
03. The anti-ship: Uh, idk? lol
04. My unpopular fannish opinion on said character: I actually really liked Paul. It seemed the majority of fandom didn't, for the gray morality reasons of his obsession with freeing Caroline and then getting involved with the Dollhouse after everything. Which is understandable, but idk I can't help but understand why Paul had that idealistic idea about getting to Caroline/Echo even if it was unrealistic at best. He wanted to uncover the truth. He seemed to be the voice of reason, but sometimes voices of reasons can lose their way, and that's what happened with Paul. So yeah, I like the dark directions his character took, how his morality got blurred when getting closer, etc.

02. The runner up: Um, I'm not entirely sure? I kinda liked Jamie from "Monster Movie", though I don't see that as long term. I honestly never really paired Dean up with anyone until Castiel came along, to be honest.
03. The anti-ship: Dean/Lisa and Dean/Anna, for obviously reasons that I'm sure you're aware of. Ick, DNW, Mary Sue, makes me rage, etc. Also, Dean/Sam because I don't see it at all.
04. My unpopular fannish opinion on said character: Honestly? As much as I love Dean I dislike his womanizing and constantly sleeping around with loose women, it's a characteristic that I hated esp in the earlier seasons, and I hate how fandom seems so offended when a female character doesn't fall for him or rejects him. Honestly, if Dean Winchester existed in real life I wouldn't want anything to do with him. I've met my share of Dean Winchesters in life, they think they are God's gift to women and try to use their "moves" on you, and only think about one thing. It's unbecoming. So yeah, I cheer whenever a woman dismisses Dean on the show
never mind that he belongs to Castiel anyway, so hehGranted there's other aspects about Dean that outweigh that, hence why he's one of my favorite characters, but it's a major flaw with him that I'm glad he's somewhat grown out of in the last season.05. 03. The anti-ship: Topher/Saunders. I don't see why people ship it. I mean I do, but there's something about it that kind of irks me because he did that to her. You know?
04. My unpopular fannish opinion on said character: I love Topher, but not due to him being woobified. I think fandom woobifies him a bit too much, because lets face it Topher started out being a two-dimensional amoral character. But what I found fascinating with his character was the subtle shift at the end of S1 and throughout S2 of his own mental state of mind degrading from guilt and thinking through everything that he'd done. Given him that kind of development in his character was something I liked, and wished they would have continued had the show not been canceled. I love Topher because he's so fucked up, because he's incredibly flawed and amoral, and that we see a completely different side of him that balances it out. He's just that kind of tragic character that I like because of that.
05. The one character he/she never fell in love with, and why: Sierra, because of what happened to her and how he partially feels responsible for that.

02. The runner up: Sierra/Echo, but only mildly. Since I see Echo more like the mother hen to her and Victor by always watching out for them. But I think there were some moments, like in "Epitaph Two", that were touching between them.
03. The anti-ship: Sierra/Topher. I just think after everything she doesn't need more reminders, and I think Topher respects that.
04. My unpopular fannish opinion on said character: None? Sierra is love and I don't think there's anything that hasn't already been said, and agreed with, about her amongst fandom. She's adorbs.

04. My unpopular fannish opinion on said character: I know you know about this since we talked about it previously, but I really wished that Harry had gotten together with Luna instead of with Ginny. 02. The runner up: I always thought that Dean/Alex was cute, and even when they brought him back to have them breakup it was very sweet and nicely handled and didn't do so just to have there be drama between them about their relationship, you know?
03. The anti-ship: I didn't like Mason that much. He was alright, but after what happened, no.
04. My unpopular fannish opinion on said character: I love Alex and her wit, her sarcasm, her mischievous and troublemaker qualities along with her wanting to do the right thing. I know some people aren't liking it, and I do agree that it gets rather repetitive when the writing continues to make it seem like she discontinued taking the competition seriously as opposed to the beginning of the third season, however I love Alex for who she is and that she doesn't apologize for any of it. I love that about her.
Not sure if that's unpopular or not, but that's how it is.

01. My OTP: I don't have an OTP for Robert, to be honest with you. He seems more like a lone wolf. However, I do find the thought of a possible Fischer/Eames pairing interesting, because Eames did spend some time with him and got to know him on that personal level a little bit. Not necessarily an OTP really (because that's Arthur/Eames), but such a thought for a dabble into.

Severus Snape
01. My OTP: Snape/Lily. I always thought it was kinda cute, even if it was tragic in the end. If anything all of that backstory made Snape incredibly redeemable as the books went on once you understood where he was coming from, you know?
02. The runner up: N/A
03. The anti-ship: Snape/Harry. I just never got the fascination behind the pairing. But then again, the Harry Potter fandom had quite a handful of really odd/squirky pairings involved. Snape/Harry would be considered tame compared to the others.
04. My unpopular fannish opinion on said character: I don't find Snape attractive. I find Alan Rickman attractive, but Snape being the character from the books definitely not since he isn't described as such. I think fandom kind of glamorizes him due to Rickman's performance (not blaming him, he's obviously very awesome by default). But whenever I see fanfic out there they always describe him as he is in the movies and it kind of bugs me a bit. I find Snape fascinating as a character, but not in that way.
05. The one character he/she never fell in love with, and why: Sirius Black, because of the animosity between them. Besides, we all know that Sirius was fucking Remus, and if anything that would have made Snape bleach his eyes out anyway. ;)

Yeah, same here. I find them very fascinating. I've been debating going to find fic, but... Arthur/Eames is just so OTP it's not even funny.
I am with you on Snape/Harry and Snape/Lily. I adore Snape and Lily, and the little bits and hints we get of them over the course of the series are just fantastic. One of the most genius things about Rowling is the way she turns what the audience already knows on its head- the whole "Worst Memory" bit from OotP takes on a whole different meaning when you know what Snape lost that day, why it was his worst memory.

I'm sort of writing something like that, but it's kind of weird and will probably never get finished (like so much else I write, heh). I wonder what is out there; I haven't done much looking either.
And I agree, Snape/Lily is definitely one of the most tragic pairings ever. There are so many twists and hidden depths to that storyline. Again, I agree; JKR is so amazing.
(I swear, I always forget how much I really adore Snape/Lily until it comes up. I am fairly certain it is my ultimate OTP of the entire series.)
