CASTIEL LIVED! HE IS ALRIGHT AND SURVIVED AND IS HIS ANGEL SELF AGAIN! \O/\O/\O/

HE GOT HIS ANGEL POWERS BACK! GOD BROUGHT HIM BACK FOR THAT PURPOSE OF HEALING HEAVEN AFTER EVERYTHING WENT DOWN BECAUSE HE KNOWS THAT CASTIEL WOULDN'T JUST BLINDLY FOLLOW ORDERS BUT INSTEAD FIX SHIT IN HEAVEN AND THAT IS PRECISELY WHAT I THEORIZED ALL ALONG! JESUS FUCKING CHRIST THAT IS WHAT I WANTED. LIKE SERIOUSLY. AND DEAN SAYING "ARE YOU GOD?" WAS THE BEST EVER! DEAN WOULD TOTALLY BE UP FOR CASTIEL BEING GOD, AND I LOVED THAT. HE HEALED DEAN AND BROUGHT BOBBY BACK. CASTIEL BB, ILU AND I AM SOOOOO HAPPY THAT YOU DIDN'T BITE IT OR ARE COMPLETELY FAITHLESS OR HUMAN.

BUT WHERE THE FUCK IS THAT HUG? IF THERE WAS ANYTIME FOR A DEAN/CASTIEL HUG, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE.

CASTIEL BETTER BE BACK NEXT SEASON THOUGH, BECAUSE KRIPKE FUCKING OWES US THAT HUG.

CASTIEL SURVIVED? CHECK. BOBBY SURVIVED? CHECK. CROWLEY SURVIVED? CHECK (ALTHOUGH HE WASN'T IN THIS EPISODE SO, OF COURSE HE DID).

MARKSHA - ILU BB AND I'LL MISS YOU ON MY SHOW BUT IT SUCKS FOR THE CHARACTER NICK LIKE, SRSLY, THAT WHOLE STORY IN THE PREMIERE I WAS EXPECTING SOMETHING MORE WITH HIM, BUT NOPE, MANIPULATIVE LUCIFER WAS MANIPULATIVE, RIP NICK YOU POOR BASTARD

ALSO - DOES THIS MEAN THAT CHUCK IS GOD? OR CHUCK IS JESUS INCARNATE? OR SOMETHING? OR! OR! WAS CHUCK A TRICKSTER? BECAUSE THAT IS PRECISELY HOW GABRIEL WENT OUT WHEN HE DISAPPEARED, Y/Y? PERHAPS CHUCK = GABRIEL? IDEK. EITHER WAY THAT ENDING WAS, WHOA. (ALSO, THAT WAS TOTALLY KRIPKE'S WAY OF SAYING GOODBYE TO THE FANS BECAUSE HE'S LEAVING US AND I THINK THAT FUCKING SUCKS, GENIUS BUT SUCKS BECAUSE I TRUST HIM WAYYYY MORE THAN SERA FUCKING GAMBLE - BUT I DIGRESS BECAUSE ALL IN ALL THAT THING WITH CHUCK TELLING US THE STORY AND THEN DISAPPEARING IN THE END WAS GENIUS)

ALSO, LOVED THE WHOLE THING ABOUT CHUCK GOING "FANS WILL BITCH" IN HIS MONOLOGUE BECAUSE LOL THAT IS SO TRUE. WE FANS DO BITCH QUITE A BIT. BUT SOMETIMES FOR GOOD REASON.

IN ALL HONESTY IT WAS KIND OF UNDERWHELMING AS FAR AS APOCALYPSE ENDINGS GO, AND THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SOMETHING OF AN ACTUAL FIGHT LIKE, IDK, A SWORD FIGHT, BUT THE SHOW IS ABOUT FAMILY AND ABOUT BROTHERS AND ALL OF THAT. CHOICES, WHO MADE US AND ABOUT FREE WILL AND ALL OF THAT. IT'S BEEN ABOUT THE BROTHERS ALL ALONG AND SO YEAH. I STILL WISH THERE COULD HAVE BEEN MORE WITH DEAN AND HIS CHOSEN DESTINY ALONG WITH SAM AND HIS, I GUESS I HAD SOMETHING TOTALLY DIFFERENT IN MIND.

EH. DON'T LIKE THE ENDING WITH DEAN AND LISA. ONLY BECAUSE I STILL DON'T THINK DEAN REALLY "LOVES" LISA AT ALL. HE ONLY CARES ABOUT HER THROUGH BEN, I THINK. BUT IDK, I GUESS THIS IS HIS WAY OF TRYING THAT NORMAL LIFE THING THAT HE PROMISED. BUT HONESTLY? I'M BETTING IT DOESN'T GO WELL, BECAUSE WE GET ANOTHER SEASON OF SHENANIGANS SO DUH, OF COURSE IT DOESN'T WORK OUT. DEAN'S NOT ONE FOR SETTLING IN FOR ANYTHING.

BESIDES. WE ALL KNOW HE BELONGS WITH HIS ANGEL BOYFRIEND AND ONCE HIS REORGANIZING HEAVEN IS DONE THEY'LL BE ABLE TO GET TOGETHER. THAT IS WHAT I BELIEVE. *NODS FIRMLY*

THAT ENDING - CLIFFHANGER!!!! IS THAT SAM? OR LUCIFER? OR BOTH? WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN NEXT SEASON THEN? IDEK PEOPLE.

BUT I'LL MY META ANALYSIS AND INTELLECTUAL THOUGHTS LATER.

CASTIEL IS OKAY AND FINE AND THE "NEW SHERIFF IN HEAVEN" AND I AM HAPPY. SO FUCKING HAPPY. THIS IS WHAT I WANTED AND I GOT IT.

NOW RESURRECT GABRIEL AND I'LL BE FUCKING OVERJOYED AND KISS YOUR FEET SHOW

Okay, I am with you on the farewell of Kripke thing. I think he totally went 'Okay, this is the way I was gonna end the show, and I am doing it, but I'll let you have the last five seconds to bring Sam back so you can continue your season 6'

I really think that would have been a PERFECT series finale. I mean, yeah, seriously. I may not even watch next year, because I'd rather remember it as 'Kripke's Show' than whatever they manage to turn it into next season. Like what? Now that he is happy and with Lisa again, Sam shows up and they head out again? IK how it's supposed to 'pick up' from where Kripke so neatly left it. Hmm- IDK, it may be just me.

SERIOUSLY. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE PERFECT SERIES ENDING. AND IT DEFINITELY WOULD HAVE BEEN, YOU KNOW? THE BROTHERS UNDERSTANDING EACH OTHER, NO LONGER CODEPENDENT ON EACH OTHER, GROWING UP AS INDIVIDUAL PEOPLE, SAM MAKING HIS CHOICE, TELLING DEAN TO LIVE A NORMAL LIFE, AND CASTIEL HAVING HIS JOURNEY END ON A NOTE THAT I HAD ALWAYS WANTED OF HIM, ETC.

BUT IT DOES HAVE ITS HOLES, THIS SEASON IN GENERAL HAD SOME ISSUES. HEH. IDK HOW THEY'RE GONNA DO NEXT SEASON EITHER.

I THINK I'M LESS ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT IT BECAUSE KRIPKE IS STEPPING DOWN AND LEAVING IT TO SERA FUCKING GAMBLE WHO I DO NOT TRUST WITH THE SHOW AND ITS DIRECTIONS. I HAVE A FEELING SHE'S GONNA FUCK EVERYTHING UP, BUT KRIPKE WOULDN'T ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN TO HIS BABY RIGHT? RIGHT?

What are these holes you speak of? LOL, I mean, as far as I'm concerned, that would have had me going "okay, sad that Sam dies, but that works, it's the only way the apocalypse could have ended without killing them both, I am good with that" I mean, it feels final. I feel fine with it (obviously cutting out the last five seconds, cause really... *points to icon*

You know, I don't trust ANYONE with the show like I trusted Kripke. So, if I continue to watch it, I'll be watching it with one eye open so to speak. I won't ever feel that 'Kripke will fix it' thing with shit I don't like/approve of. So if something happens that I don't like/approve of, I'll be all 'Oh shit, that's it, I'm done' and I have a feeling that is gonna happen a lot without Kripke. And IDK if he can keep it from happening. I mean, it WAS his baby. the five year arc was always his contingency. So, I think he is basically done- like 'I told the story I wanted to tell, everything else is just superfluous' I wouldn't blame him if he didn't even watch it.

EH, THE SEASON FELT INCOMPLETE TO ME. THERE WERE THINGS THEY SHOULD HAVE FOCUSED MORE ON - APOCALYPSE-WISE - LEADING UP TO THIS MOMENT. THERE'S THE WHOLE THING WITH THE AMULET WHICH BURNED WHEN GOD WAS AROUND, WHICH ADDED TO CASTIEL'S JOURNEY, WHICH I FEEL WE WERE CHEATED OUT OF IN THE LATTER HALF OF THE SEASON. IT JUST ALL FEELS TOO....RUSHED HERE, HONESTLY. AND WHILE I LOVE THIS SHOW, THAT'S PISSING ME OFF OF HOW MUCH THEY WASTED AN ENTIRE SEASON THAT DIDN'T REALLY SEEM RESOLVED.

MOSTLY I'M LESS PLEASED WITH HOW THEY HANDLED CASTIEL IN THE LAST HALF OF THIS SEASON, SINCE HE'S MY FAVORITE CHARACTER. IT'S LIKE THEY RUSHED HIS JOURNEY SO THEY COULD HAVE THIS ENDING WHEN THEY COULD HAVE HAD MORE TO IT THAN THAT. LIKE, HIS SEARCH FOR GOD, REGAINING HIS FAITH, HIS COMPANIONSHIP WITH DEAN. IT WAS LIKE IT WASN'T MUCH OF A FACTOR IN THIS FINALE WHICH KIND OF MAKES ME GO "OKKKAYYY, SO IF HE'S NOT COMING BACK NEXT SEASON THIS IS IT? :/" I MEAN, YAY FOR REGAINING STATUS AND ALL BUT HOW? AND WHEN? AND ALL OF THAT.

So, I think he is basically done- like 'I told the story I wanted to tell, everything else is just superfluous' I wouldn't blame him if he didn't even watch it.

WHICH IS WHY THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE AGREED FOR A SIXTH SEASON. THEY SHOULD HAVE HAD THIS SEASON BE ALL ABOUT WHAT KRIPKE SET OFF TO DO SO IT WOULD HAVE BEEN WRAPPED UP A BIT NEATER THAN IT WAS WITHOUT THAT KIND OF "SIXTH SEASON" LOOMING OVER THEM. IDK

SO YEAH, HOLES. INCOMPLETENESS. THAT'S IT FEELS TO ME. I'M ALL CONFLICTED RIGHT NOW.

Okay, when you explain it that way, I see what you mean. It totally makes sense. And yeah, they should have only gone five seasons, and I think I am kinda done with it. I mean, I don't wanna know where they go from here if they are gonna fuck up my show furthur. Like you said, this season was less than stellar, and I think that's because of the whole 'yay we get another season' thing. So they didn't have to answer all the questions. I think they left some unanswered JUST to try to keep viewers which is crap. They could have ended THIS story and started another one next year- separate from the original storyline.

And the boys..... don't get me started on their hypocrisy. I heard them IN PERSON say that if Kripke left, they were gone too, and now Kripke is gone and they are sitting pretty on a fat paycheck. Solidifies my conviction that I want NOTHING to do with their personal lives anymore, they have become hypocrites and sellouts. Oh how the mighty have fallen.... and this took a turn, so I will stop now :P

Exactly. And, it's that the whole point for any show, honestly? That you'd plan an entire season to have a beginning, middle and end regardless whether you are having another season or more after it? Because many shows often times get worried about cancellation so they have to think about finishing the story, but still leave something to say "if we come back, we'll have this to tell" but still keep it satisfactory? This finale didn't feel satisfactory to me. It felt incomplete and rushed, like they spent a lot of it just tip-toeing around things until these last few episodes where we have the rings and Castiel becoming almost-human to just wrapping all that up. It just didn't make sense.

And there was a lot of left-fieldness from these last several episodes to really wrap this entire arc up. And I keep thinking, had you taken this apocalyptic arc seriously in the beginning of the season instead of dragging your heels show, we wouldn't have had this problem now, would we?

It's kind of interesting how most of fandom is feeling like how we're feeling right now. I wonder how that's gonna take with Kripke and Co.

I heard them IN PERSON say that if Kripke left, they were gone too, and now Kripke is gone and they are sitting pretty on a fat paycheck. Solidifies my conviction that I want NOTHING to do with their personal lives anymore, they have become hypocrites and sellouts.

From my understanding, and this is just from what I've read, is that when the announcement was made that there was to be a sixth season Kripke had been signed on for that. But some time later, it was announced that Kripke was stepping down, and I don't know if the boys could get out from that if they were already contracted.

I still want to maintain hope that Kripke will be working from the sidelines; that he's still part of the decision-making process, but he just won't be in the picture that much. You know? But I'm not familiar with how all this works or even why he stepped down in the first place. So, I don't know.

You know what? I don't like that cop out. Theirs, that they were contracted and they can't get out of it. Whatever, if you want bad enough, you can get out of anything. They may have had to pay more or hire lawyers, but if they didn't really want to they could have gotten out of it, anything can be reversed or undone, don't let them make you think any different.
