I knew bits and pieces from certain quotes but I didn't really understand the context of it until the scenes appeared, and like you I was gaping and trying to wrap my brain around the fact that OMG THEY JUST DID THAT, DIDN'T THEY?!? :DDD They really do fanservice quite well on this show without straying away from what is really happening, and I think that's great.
