Will make a proper reaction post later, but I have to say that I loved last night's Caprica. The characters and the drama attached to it, plus I love continuing the growing universe. It's really taking a form of its own, and I like that.

But this post is about Supernatural or, more specifically, the clips which were released for the next episode and my thoughts on them.

With the first clip, I'm just so happy to see Castiel and the boys investigating together. You gotta love Castiel's intense studying of the heart and then not knowing what to do with the blood on his hands, lol. It's the subtly of how Misha plays him people, okay? You can tell he's this otherworldly creature familiarizing himself with our world bit by bit, but still maintaining his innocence (his "I don't understand that reference" line in the last episode was just perfection to this). And of course, I love him schooling the boys about Cupid/Cherubs and it's interesting how it regards them like they're filthy rodents wandering all over the world, lol. Guess they're not exactly Heaven's favorite, as they are like lower class of their angelical society I suppose.

"You mean the flying fat kid in diapers?" "They're not incontinent" "...." LOL Oh Castiel, I love it when you use your huge vocabulary in front of Dean. ♥

"A Cupid has gone rogue!" SUPER SERIOUS CAS IS ALL SERIOUS BUSINESS WHILE DEAN AND SAM'S REACTIONS ARE HILARIOUS AS THEY GO "YEAH SURE WE'LL HUMOR YOU DUDE" LOL! AND SAM GETTING BITCHFACE WHILE GOING "NATURALLY" OMGLOL!

AND THE SECOND CLIP IS EVEN FUNNIER BECAUSE HOLY SHIT I CAN'T EVEN ARTICULATE PROPERLY HAHAHA! NEKKID!CUPID JUST ATTACKS EVERYONE WITH GIDDY HUGS! HUGGING DEAN (FROM BEHIND OF COURSE) AND THEN CASTIEL, LOL HIS FACE OMG! AND THEN SAM TRYING TO ESCAPE BUT HE STILL GETS A HUGE NEKKID BEAR HUG FROM CUPID OMG.

Dean: Is this a fight?! Are we fighting?!
Castiel: This is...their handshake
Dean: I don't like it.
Castiel: No one likes it.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLLLLL!!!!!!!

THIS EPISODE IS GOING TO KILL ME! I mean seriously, it's going to be a combination of huge laughs but also gross and disgusting scenes and I believe, if I read the description right, some kind of angsty Castiel stuff idk. God, I have a feeling this episode is going to be even better than this last week's one.


I just can't wait for this episode to air. :D :D

I AM RIGHT THERE WITH YOU BB! I really want them hinting really hard at the obvious subtext between these two, because we've been lacking in some of the Dean/Castiel scenes lately and it would just be so amazing. Because it's so obvious. ;)

I mean come on, the show has referenced the Wincest several times (the gay jokes, the forth wall being broken, etc) it's about time to at least acknowledge the wonderful relationship between Dean/Castiel, amirite? Since Kripke is all about fanservice and all of that....

Yeah! And they are even VERY aware of the Dean/Castiel, because they joke on it on interviews! So, this episode is the perfect occasion, because after Cupid they can revert to their old repressed selves and be done with it. Like drunken making out, you know?

WORD! I just don't know why Kripke has abandoned the D/C love. All for the boring filler fluff of the last few episodes. You know those episodes would have been made 120 times better with some Dean and Cas eyefucking. TRUFAX.

I have no idea! The bodyswap episode was so PAINFUL that I only watched 5 minutes of it, more or less? It didn't make sense in any planet IMO. They should use Castiel, if they don't know what to make of Dean and Sam at times. Or Anna, you know?
I liked her in this last episode, and was even sad to see her go so completely uselessly :/

I didn't watch the bodyswapping episode because a.) I unintentionally slept through it and b.) it wasn't relevant to my interests, as in no Castiel and didn't have anything tied into the arc of the season. Which might be bad for me to say because random hilarity episodes can be great, but there's been too much filler and we need more with the EPIC END OF THE WORLD stuff.

I liked her in this last episode, and was even sad to see her go so completely uselessly :/

I admit that even though I never liked her and knew she was going to die, long time coming too, I would have wished the actress would have given something in her performance or at least a proper explanation for why she suddenly turned. At least something interesting to make up for everything lame they did with the character last season. But alas, she went out the same way she came in: uselessly. Eh, whatever. At least her death scene was awesome, and huge budget-wise with the special effects and all.

LOL THIS SO MUCH! The fact that Dean left Castiel in the honeymoon suite makes me wonder. I mean come on, this season has been building up lots of courage with the male/male kiss in 5.10 and all of that, they AT LEAST have to do something to acknowledge the Dean/Castiel part of fandom. Which of course, is huge and we all want this.

I don't even care if it's just a freaking hug, WE NEED SOMETHING SHOW! COME ON KRIPKE!

Well, I think my experience was worst, I kept fast-forwarding in the places where I was afraid I would be CRINGING badly. I basically skipped all the scenes with Jared as the kid, and the kid. Yeah, I have no idea what the ep was about and I'm OKAY WITH THIS.

I know you don't liker her much, and tbh, after that useless love scene I didn't have much use for her either. They RUINED her by making her a love interest that wasn't needed at all.
She could have been cool, just saying, but the real bad writing on her was off the charts.

I think Dean keeps sending Castiel VERY weird glances on the clips...now, it could be just him yanking Cas' chain or something, but I gotta say they are making me HOPE they are playing the Cupid card because they want to play with the D/C.
Otherwise you tell me what a Cupid episode would be useful for? The writers NEVER write fillers without at least a minimal reason.

Agreed, and that's one of the flaws with the SPN writing. I would just love it if they had a strong, independent female character to appear and not be some kind of romantic interest for the boys. It would be nice to have a neutral kickass female character on the show to break that cycle, because there ARE such things as girls not wanting to jump either of the main characters bones, you know.

Well, according to the episode summary, there is some apocalyptic connection in this episode which I am looking forward to seeing. But you're right, with having Cupid in this episode there should at least be some influence towards having Dean/Castiel hintage (more than usual, that is).

I adore Dean's little flirty, playful look in the second clip and how its Dean that is doing the intense, not taking his eyes of Castiel first thing instead of Cas doing it to Dean first,lol.

I don't know, I am especially thrilled that there is something to talk about it when it comes to our OTP no matter how much screen time they have together, I don't think many OTP's have that, even the established ones.

I am not happy about the six week break but I understand why. Oh, and I have a theory about them slowing down the Dean and Cas stuff, maybe they just want to spread it out if they are keeping Misha and want to continue it in season six.

It makes sense and the man makes money for the franchise and the station, they would be idiots to axe him. And the show seems to be making sure Cas is around working with both brothers, so all in all it seems pretty good for Misha sticking around.

Definitely, and with these two there's nothing that can't be said about anything that happens when they're on the screen together. Even for a brief moment there's always something going on between them, either from subtle looks to words to how close they stand to each other. And it's not like we're reaching for anything, it's so blatantly there and so perfect.

And this is why these two will forever be love. ♥

You know, now that I think about it, that makes sense. I guess I, too, am just greedy for more Dean/Castiel goodness (especially after the epic wonderfulness of 5.03 and 5.04) But if they're going to be extending that into next season, where I PRAY TO GOD Misha still remains a regular, then it's all good by me. The more of their epic love the better. :)

I think the fact that Castiel is firmly integrated with the Winchesters while having his own sublplot shows how much they think the characters fits with the show. So I think they want to keep him, CW will want to keep him for sure but it is up to Kripke. I feel hopeful about the character.

I never believed that Kripke would have ever abandoned the amazing connection that's been growing between Dean and Castiel since last season, but it's a matter of how to fit in more of their epic scenes together in the right moments, you know? 5.03 and 5.04 were the biggest Dean/Castiel-centric episodes of the season, so here's for hoping this one (and/or future episodes) will have more!

I'm okay with the pigging out and even the drinking and whatever, I just hope they don't go the sex route with Castiel. I'd like to keep him 100% asexual in canon, pls. Not that I would complain if they were to explore Cas' sexuality with Dean, of course. In fact I would almost certainly rejoice. Fervently. But if they bring in some random woman and have Cas "hunger" for sex enough to sleep with her, it would be so heteronormative and silly, not to mention downplay the sacrifices he's made for Dean/humanity and bypass the point that he certainly has more important things to think about these days (read: the fucking Apocalypse, anyone?) rather than sex. Idk, it seems greatly OOC and it would deteriorate his character a lot, imo, but I can see them doing it in this ep because of Cupid's influence. Please be to keeping him a strange alien thing, Show? Would it be so terrible to have a character who is, for once, completely unconcerned with sex?

I completely and utterly agree with your soapbox, bb. :) I don't think that'll be the case in this episode though, but in general I definitely agree that Castiel should remain innocent and pure without the need to "release" himself by randomly hooking up. He might have rebelled against Heaven and is cut off, but he still is an angel and still has his dignity. I love him like this and he should never ever change from this. I love him being so socially awkward and not getting pop culture references and just being totally alien but still managing to cope and deal with other things, bigger things.

I do agree the only exception would be with Dean, obviously, since they have a strong bond and connection with each other and because hello, nearly everyone in fandom wants them to make-out already! ;D But otherwise no.

I very much loved Caprica. The writing and the way it was presented with the intertwining of the different storylines, it seemed to have a much better flow than the previous two, which to say it's definitely coming into its own creation and standing on its own two feet. It makes me all the more excited for what's to come.

We did get some moments of Dean/Castiel (the cell phone convo, for instance, was ultra slashy and there were plenty of innuendos if you looked for them) but yeah, not exactly the kind of episode we'd want Dean/Castiel to be established in. WHICH WE NEED THEM TO BE ESTABLISHED KRIPKE! ALL THE SIGNS POINT TO IT, JUST HAVE THEM MAKE OUT ALREADY.

Well, granted it's a new show with three episodes in, so they have to find their rhythm like all other shows do. I'm sure it'll get into the exciting stuff pretty soon.
