AVOIDING ALL SPOILERS FROM COMIC CON! AVOIDING ALL SPOILERS FROM COMIC CON!

Well, most of them anyway. I've been doing my best of avoiding accidentally being spoiled regarding certain shows, Supernatural and Dollhouse respectively, from all the Comic Con reports being written. It's difficult because there are so many temptations about reading something and hearing what others have to say about them, but I'm staying strong and refusing despite the irresistible temptation to look. Thankfully nothing's been spoiled to me because I have a very considerate friends list (ilu guys, seriously). I've only caught just the non-spoilery reports on how the actors have been at the panels and the funny stories that ensue, and did everyone else see the video David Boreanaz sent in apologizing for not being about to attend? So adorable.

And how can anyone forget the JOHN BARROWMAN/DAVID TENNANT KISS?! Come on now. ♥

However, I did catch up one what Kring has to say about Heroes next season despite not being interested in the show anymore: I am not going to lie, when Heroes premiered I thought it was a great show, amazing even. The amount of characters and storylines they had, interconnected and entwined together and the stories they told. It was remarkable really, for a new shiny show about normal people discovering they had superpowers of some kind. But all that has dwindled away as Kring's promises have become more and more empty and lacking in any kind of originality or progression of the show aside from making shit up as they go along (and retconning everything they'd done in the past, making little to no sense in continuity which, really, consistency is what I look for in a story being told), and how everything has become so cliched, redundant and overdone ad nauseum that my interest dropped once the show hit that downhill moment in the beginning of season three.

So unsurprisingly, the information about season four have been nothing more than shit we've seen and heard from before, making me less interested in watching it or even waiting for them to make the changes they've promised time and again to do to fix things.

Kring also makes more unneeded comments about the "diversity" of the show: "We always try to be as diverse as possible. Characters obviously come and go, but it's a continuing thing that we try to fulfill for the audience. Stay tuned and you'll see some really cool casting in that area." I make no further comment on this other than: You're full of shit, Tim Kring.

Mohinder is NOT going to be a main factor of season four. In fact, they're pushing him into the background of everything which is why we haven't heard much about what Mohinder is going to be doing next season, to which Kring goes and blames the huge casting issue. Right Kring, because shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Firefly and countless of others that also have had a big cast had troubles with maintaining a steady way of making all the characters involved with storylines one way or another. Give me a fucking break. *rolls eyes*

Amongst that Hiro is going to have a terminal illness, Claire is turning lesbian, Sylar is going to be returning (again...for the millionth time), and the whole "redemption-everyone-going-back-to-normal-lives" thing is being redone. Again.

But Jack Coleman is funny with this: Jack Coleman jokes about HRG's lack of abilities: "I have the power of impaired vision."

I may seem a bit bitter but after what they've done to the show I don't think my feelings are going to change unless, by some miracle, the show proves me wrong that it actually can be decent enough to be redeemed in my eyes. But I don't think it will to be honest, and I have a strong feeling this will probably be the last season as far as Heroes is concerned. I'm just saying, and quite frankly I think it would be better if it did end after this season.

So, um, yeah. Staying away from Comic Con news is close to impossible particularly since it's everywhere on LJ, I mean even if you didn't attend how can you not miss it? Besides spoilers that is, which I AM STILL AVOIDING FOR MY MAIN FANDOMS AND EXPECT ALL THE CONSIDERATION TO CONTINUE FOR SPOILERFREE PPL LIKE ME, KTHX! Otherwise, if there are edited/despoiled reports out there bring them on bbs!

Heroes is like, pissing me off to no end with their continuity and lack of storylines and epic fail being done over and over again. It's like, honestly, enough already show.

Exactly how I feel. The continuity errors make me so insane, and they are hardly doing anything new with the storylines or progressing character developments at all, and it's such a shame because there's so much talent and opportunities being wasted on that show.

They have no direct plan on where things are going, and it's very obvious.

INORITE? HE'S ALL GIDDY AND THEN FAINTS, IT'S TOTES ADORABLE. :D

There was so much potential and promise with the show, I actually was hopeful way back when. They had some serious stuff going on that I thought it was going to be good. But things went to shit, and I just don't care anymore.

AHHHH JOHN JOHN JOHN. AND DAVID! HOW ADORABLE IS THAT, EEEEE. :D

i've only seen the two first seasons of heroes (because the third one hasn't aired in finland yet) but i've heard the third one's nothing to flail about. which sucks, because i do like sylar it, the first season, at least, but. god, no. i am not looking forward to season four.

TOO ADORABLE OMG, JOHN IS SUCH A FLIRT RIGHT THERE. AND DAVID INITIATING THE KISS FIRST WAS EPIC.

Oh, the third season just throws everything you know about the first two seasons right out the window. The characters aren't the same, the writing and directions of things aren't the same, and the completely fucked everything up. It was just horrible, just from the first episode from S3 you get the sense something is wrong. I stopped immediately after the first like, three or so. :/

Just read the post bb, and omigoodness moar Misha love. ♥ AND THE GAG REEL! :DDD I'm just hoping that there's a longer version than what the one that was posted on YT was. It seemed relatively short and with minimal Misha bits. Because as we all know, Misha + the boys = crazy antics.

OMIGOSH BB I AM DYING OF WANTING TO KNOW STUFF, IT'S LIKE KILLING ME BECAUSE I WANNA KNOW DAMMIT! But I'm staying strong in the struggle, remaining spoilerfree and resisting the urge to click spoilerish links.

Yeah, I think there will definitely be an extended version in the DVD, and actually I don't even think that clip got everything that was played at Comicon. There was supposed to be a bit where Misha tickles Jared, too..

BE STRONG, BB, BE STRONG! JUST IMAGINE HOW MUCH UNEXPECTED GLEE THERE WILL BE WHEN THE EPISODE AIRS!

Yeah, it did seem like someone was hastily trying to capture what they could without getting caught. MISHA TICKLING JARED! THAT IS SOMETHING I GOTTA SEE!

I'M HANGING IN THERE BB! I WILL RESIST ALL TEMPTATIONS, BECAUSE NOT KNOWING ANYTHING WILL INCLUDE MORE CAPSLOCK DURING THE AIRING OF THE SEASON. AND WE ALL KNOW HOW MUCH WE LOVE CAPSLOCK! :DDDD

Oh, didn't you know? Their diversity is totally ~*~original~*~ because they have different languages and show Asians and other cultures for like, a nanosecond in the midst of their primary focus on the main cast (that are the Petrellis and the Bennets and Sylar)! See, they're like, totally diverse!

Really though, I've been bitter about how they've handled characters for a while now. Either killing the most interesting ones off or dropping them off the face of the Earth, with no explanation whatsoever or mentioning them ever again. So I'm like, what's the point? :/

Jack Coleman and the Tennant/Barrowman kiss made my day.

When I heard about the kiss I needed to see it for myself, and I was delightfully squeeful for the rest of the day. Pretty much if there's Barrowman you know it's worthwhile. :D

Yeah, same here. Not that my other shows don't have issues here and there, but Heroes is the only one that started off relatively well and then fell down into the shithole.

The entire show has become more of a soap opera these days, and reading what's to come has confirmed they are not changing that fact anytime soon. :/

Heroes isn't the same show it used to be. The obsessive focus on Claire is my biggest bug, and the arcs which chop and change constantly. If they'd been cancelled after season 1, it would have been like another Firefly - fondly remembered and mourned by a dedicated fanbase. As it is, I reckon it'll sputter itself to death watched by few and loved by fewer.

Well done for staying strong and spoiler free! I am a spoilerwhore and have no self restraint.

For me it's more focus on Sylar and the Petrellis than with Claire, which I really loved her in season one but they've given her kinda lackluster storylines since then. I've grown tired and bored about the same schtick regarding Sylar and the Petrellis, and they keep saying "something big will be revealed!" and of course, it's all predictable. Scenery changes, situations stay the same.

This. In fact for me, it's better for a series to have limited seasons with a solid story/plot instead of just going by its popularity rate and going on and on and on without anything of substance. I'm thinking Kring got his ego boasted when NBC announced it was the top highest rated shows on their network, so he just lost his vision completely if he ever had one to begin with. That is why I admire creators like Whedon and RDM and Kripke who plan on continuing as long as necessary to tell their story, and that'll be that. Go out on top, not because fans don't like it anymore and it's become crap, like certain shows have done and where Heroes is heading apparantly...

Well done for staying strong and spoiler free! I am a spoilerwhore and have no self restraint.

Thank you! It's hard, but I'm hanging in there. :)

They're pushing Mohinder to the background? Excuse me but, what the flying flaming fuck Tim Kring?!

My thoughts exactly.

Bringing up the "cast is too big" excuse is just his way of not dealing with the issue directly. I have no idea if he's just dismissing anything of bigger storyline but come one Kring, you can incorporate all the characters together without it being a sacrificial move. Because it's not. He says characters "come and go", but that's also bullshit because there are characters with much potential and that fans love but you let them go and focus on characters we don't care for.

I would be saddened about Mohinder if I had continued to watch the show for him, but alas not even his pretty could salvage it.

Wow, look at these predictable and cheesy and OMG LETS TRY TO BE CONTROVERSIAL GUYZ PLOTLINES!

It's one thing to add something that may be controversial and pushing the envelope, it's another when you repeat it thousands of times in thinking it's all original and shit or that they're making any character progression whatsoever. Am I the only one that just wants them to just kill off Sylar for good? Because I liked the ambiguity of his character being shadowed in season one, but they keep bringing him back for pointless reasons and it's getting old and tired.

It would be best if they did end everything, because right now it's become something of a joke with all the ridiculousness.

It is getting very, very hard to stay spoiler free. Man, I miss the days when people had to hunt for spoilers. There are a few Con reports that I felt safe lurking into (Psych, Glee) but mostly I have had to avoid them altogether because they all had spoilers in them. I keep seeing posts about casting stuff about S5 of Supernatural and it's like ugh, I don't want to know. I don't get it - wouldn't you rather watch the show unfold and be along for the ride than know all this stuff ahead of time? Dean is crying his Single Tear of Perfection for my angst.

I have decided that I'm done with Heroes. I struggled thtough last season, watching it in the hopes it would get better when Bryan Fuller came back. Now that isn't happening and I just don't enjoy it anymore. So I cut it.

Exactly. It's much more fun and exciting to be in the dark completely instead of knowing beforehand. I mean, I get that sometimes spoilers can be a bit vague (which leads to blowing the information out of proportion at times) but still, I would rather stay not in the-know. If I want to know something spoilerish I'd look for them myself, otherwise I want to be kept in the dark and wait until it actually airs, kthx. And if this makes me an oversensitive spoilerphobe, then so be it. I am not ashamed in admitting I'd rather watch and be surprised then know everything.

Heroes and I have been done professionally since last season, but I still try to keep tabs on things in hopes something can redeem it. Judging from what I've been hearing, it's very unlikely.

BtVS, BSG, Lost & firefly had troubles with that? Then, how the hell you call what Heroes had? The fucking apocalypse? Man, I thought I'd love this show. And then they said that KBell was going to join the cast and then I thought I'd love it even more. And now... I just hate this 'thing' they call tv show so much. Really, there are so many other shows that have been cancelled and were much better ._.

There's always going to be hassles and difficulties with having a huge cast, and yes sometimes you do have to make sacrifices here and there, but Heroes has been doing it so frequently it's like they're hardly trying to keep everything together anymore. They kill a main character, but only to have them come back, and if they kill off a secondary character they're gone and forgotten, never to be heard from again. It's stupid and ridiculous.

I would much rather have Peter or Sylar be killed off than deal with the same thing over and over.

It's obvious they weren't thinking ahead of what they wanted to do, and this is definitely going to be the last season for sure. For a volume called "Redemption" it sounds definite to be the end. I won't be sad if it is canceled this season, because they lost me completely.

Besides, not having any Mohinder at all this season? Yeah, that pretty much does it for me. :/

Yeah, the ratings system is rather screwed up. It's merely quantity over quality with them, no matter how much potential a show has if it's not received in good ratings it'll be plugged. It's also ironic at how some of the highest rated shows often times turn to shit whereas the promising ones are so frequently overlooked. Really, really screwed up.

Oh, I don't mind at all! :D Friend away bb, the more the merrier, especially those that love SPN and Dean/Castiel.
