Because I am being spammy and a sheep and apparently bored, and all the cool kids are doing them, therefore I must be a fandom meme whore too:

MEME #1: Name a character from one of my fandoms, and I will tell you my top 3 moments or scenes (or at least 3 of my favorites) of them.

MEME #2: Name a fandom, and I'll give you the scoop on at least three of my unpopular opinions related to that fandom.

Definitely, and even though I was amongst the folks who had predicted a "doom and gloom" ending I rather liked the happy ending because, well, judging from when we started the series they were already in that "doom and gloom" state and it was best to have them enter their new promised land to start over. It also gives us a look into humanity at how even if we take several steps back we find ourselves evolving once again. When they gave up technology it was to stop that cycle of war and violence between man and machine, only 150,000 years later we've still gotten ourselves tangled up with machines and technology. History repeats itself, or "mankind's true nature will always assert itself." It's kind of ironic poetry weaved in very well.

And I agree with what head!Six mentioned, that with every cycle comes something that will break it and we'd head in a different direction. It gives us a sense of hope, and I liked that. It was perfect for the entire message of what BSG was telling us all along.

Some of the bitter shipper wars come from the finale as well, which I find ridiculous. I think most were hoping for some kind of orgy to happen between certain characters, but whatever. I find the entire pairing versus pairing thing quite ridiculous. Can't we all just get along? Srsly.
