01. From most recent news it appears that the writers and studios are making rapid progress and reports suggest that a settlement may be reached within a week. How legit is this statement and how much are we betting on it? I have no idea, I'm just praying this is true and this isn't another red-herring from unreliable sources. Because seriously not only do I want this strike to end, I want this strike to end with boths sides of the argument coming to a common ground with each other with no loose ends or unpleasantness in the end. I'm sort of waiting for the official word when it IS over with, but this gets me all excited that things are moving along with deals and continue in that direction. *crosses fingers*

02. Sam/Ruby/Dean. My newest OT3. Seriously, Ruby has amazing chemistry with the boys, because she is made of awesome. Don't hate, appreciate, m'kays?

03. Lord help me, I think I may be getting into HIMYM. I blame my sister for this one, the same way I blame her for getting me into NCIS. Barney is HI-LARIOUS to the extreme, just OMG. He is made of awesome too, so many great lines he has that I just love quoting.

I've been hearing the same thing about the strike from quite a few different places today, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up -- but at the same time, really wanting it to be true. And I agree, they need to settle it so that neither side has some problem with it that their going to bring up later. That would just...suck for everyone!

I'm optimistic about this, because it does look REALLY good from what I've been reading. I want my shows back AND I want the writers to get what they deserve, and if this comes true I will be a very happy bunny. :D

I am SO hopeful about the possibility of a settlement. For so long it seemed like they'd never make any headway or recognise their demands, so I'm hoping this is legit and there's some real progress being made.

Hee, I LOVE HIMYM. It's not a show I go fandomy over, but it's fun (&hearts Barney) and entertaining and I love a lot of the actors and actresses on it.

I'm kind of contemplating things about the strike, because if it is settled very soon our shows have already wrapped up. And I think I read someone (or gotten the information from someone who got it from somewhere) that networks have already cancelled the seasons because this strike has already screwed up the television schedules, so we probably won't get anything new until like next year. I could be wrong, though.

Yeah, it's just a fun show to watch for some laughs. Much like Psych.

I do hope that there's a settlement soon. It seems like it has gone on way to long without any sign of an agreement being reached. Le sigh.

Also, I love HIMYM as well! The entire cast are such a talented group of people. I <3 them. It's a very amusing, fun lil show. Always good for a laugh. btw, Barney is def hi-larious lol. =D

It could've been worse, it could've gone on longer breaking the record of the last writer's strike back in the '80s which lasted for five months. Not that this run was good, because it's been agonizing and affecting everyone on all sides and I'd hoped that the WGA and AMPTP could've settled things before the new year. Still, it's good that we're finally getting good news.

If the writers and studios are really making a lot of progress, I will start dancing once they settle things.

I've only seen four or five episodes of HIMYM, but I agree, Barney is so hilarious.

That's where I am honestly, only a few episodes through my sister's DVDs, and it's not something I would religiously watch. Just something I could sit back and enjoy for the funny. And quote Barney. XD

oh, Dean &hearts, how I love thee lol. I do love Ruby, I think Katie is doing an amazing job. Definitely no hating here ;) And not to sound completely oblivious, but HIMYM?

Katie is definitely doing an amazing job, I love how she's taken on the role perfectly and creating it her own and so much chemistry with everyone. Ruby = LOVE. :D

HIMYM = How I Met Your Mother, which is a comedy on CBS.

I am with you on the whole writer's strike. I remember around Christmas, TV guide made a comment that the writer strike would be over by the new year and here we are at the beginning of February and it continues. Obviously, they were wrong. I hope that this time it truly will be over. :)

I had my bets on at least between January and February, and here we are! Just as I predicted if all this becomes true. :D Better sooner than later.

Hee, there better! Though you have to show me episodes I haven't SEEN before. I don't CARE if you don't like those episodes, I MIGHT like them so you never know. ;)

All right all RIGHT but then you have to deal with me shouting about stupid characters. Quick check - have you seen all of the ep when Gibbs scales the fence or the ep with the online game plot?

From: [identity profile] rogueslayer452.livejournal.com
I don't really know, I have to see it first. The only online episode I saw I think was the one with the rape fantasy. We'll find out soon enough, won't we? DiNo-to the-zzo, yo.

And gotcha. No bugging you when you're yelling at the screen. ;)

Okay, so we'll watch those next.

(I can't HELP yelling. I'm like Rodney when surrounded by stupid people, can't internalize the ire.)

Another 'yay' for HIMYM. I've only seen a few episodes, but it's a legitimately funny show. Barney is definetely a fantastic character. SUIT UP!

Let me know when the strike ends. "All new (enter show here) this (enter day here)"...those are the golden words.

It's also one of those comedies that doesn't have the obnoxious laughter of the audience, it's only a track but it doesn't overpower the scenes. Barney is HILARIOUS to the MAX. XD

Yeah, but even if the strike does end soon they still have to do negotiations and we won't get anything new for quite a while. But it's better than having no clue if/when our shows would get picked up again if it's prolonged.
