Are you the Devil?
Jul. 14th, 2015 02:22 pmSuicide Squad: Harley Quinn. ♥ ♥ ♥ I'm not huge on comic books, but I know vaguely about the Suicide Squad and I certainly know about Harley Quinn and seeing this makes me really anticipating what Margot Robbie is going to bring to the character. Already I am captivated what is seen in the trailer.
Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice: Honestly, Wonder Woman and Aquaman (not shown in the trailer) are the only things I care about regarding this film. Although in my head I still believe that Gina Torres or Morena Baccarin should be Wonder Woman, we'll see how Gal Gabot does. Which is a huge kind of pressure because, well, the first time we'll be seeing Wonder Woman ever on the big screen and her performance could determine whether there will be more Wonder Woman in the future.
Jenny's Wedding: I know, I know, Katherine Heigl isn't exactly best known for her roles that she continues getting typecast in with romance and weddings and such. This one, however, is about a lesbian wedding and her character coming out to her parents. And while I suspect that it'll follow the similar setup, it appears to be less of a romcom that we're used to seeing with her and just more of a character drama surrounding the struggle of coming out to your family and the acceptance. Of course, my only thought while watching this trailer was how strange it was seeing Isabel Evans and Rory Gilmore being in a relationship and getting married. It actually wouldn't surprise me if someone out there already had that crossover ship, and thus their wishes have come true.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens: In this exclusive reel shown at SDCC, while no spoilers were given, it does give you a taste of what production was like, and the with practicality of it all it already differs much from the prequels in that sense. It has me really hoping this movie measures up to the level of excitement they're projecting.
And while this isn't movie news, Elodie Yung has been cast as Elektra for the second season of Daredevil. She looks absolutely perfect for the role, and if you see some of her fight scenes, especially the one where she looks similar to Elektra, it's not hard to understand why they chose her, at least in the action capability area.
