Happy birthday ferretwho! ~ ♥ I do hope you're having a lovely day of celebrating, happily and safely of course.

It was happy hour while watching "Parasite" last night. Filled with loads of Mohinder/Sylar goodness with the extra Zach and Sendhil on the side. Though the commentary in between commercials was SO freaking short. It should've been longer, but whatever. It was worth it anyway since, them and their adorable gorgeous selves. Besides, I have DVDs to drool over so, yay! Yeah, so totally worth it.

Apparently, there are two official promo shots for the remake of A Tale of Two Sisters. Okay, I've already expressed my anger regarding yet another Americanized remake of a foreign classic, but I'm torn with it. This might be a decently made movie if done in the right kind of atmosphere and feel, although one thing's for certain: it'll never match up to par with the original. Never. I say this for all remakes of classic films, despite my loathing for it in general. Plus, I like Emily Browning so this kind of exposure, aside from ASOUE, can actually be good for her career. Though I simply adore the original version, this may be good if given the right kind of direction without straying away from the suspense or storytelling. I may give it a chance once I see more of what they're doing with it.

But the remake of Battle Royale will certainly NOT do the novel nor the original movie justice, at all. Especially if they're watering it down with the violence for "sensitive audiences". Pssh, whatever.

Here's my Rec of the Day: Ayumi Hamasaki - "Talkin' 2 Myself" PV. Not only is this song awesome because it's another rock-style single of hers, but the video is wicked hot and amazing. There's just something about Ayu getting dirty, dancing fiercely in the rain, plus sporting the short hair which is very reminescent of her earlier days. Love this song, the PV, and Ayu in general. It's also great for working out, I find.

Yeah, The Ring was pretty darn creepifying (the second one, really lame though). I've seen both versions, and I can't tell which one I'm more disturbed by. :X

Mohinder and Zane!Sylar was pretty awesome, though. Even though he didn't know it was Sylar at the time they met, I liked the idea of them hitting the road finding other Specials together, and Sylar adapted into the role of Zane so perfectly. Of course the audience was all "OMG that's Sylar! Don't you see!!" But really...Mohinder didn't even know what Sylar looked like, so how could he? He was pretty damn clever to have figured it out on his own without freaking out. He played it cool, and then was all "haha, got you Sylar!" That was totally Mohinder's YATTA! moment right there.

HEE! It's pretty awesome, isn't it? Have you seen the little video someone placed together, which is a collection of Mohinder's "obsession" over his father's research, with random Sylar thrown in? It's pretty damn hilarious (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wztdWlx86I0) and much of the eyecandy. ;)

I liked the american version a lot for the Ring, I think... more than the original if I remember correctly... lol. I think it was the whole throwing-samara-into-the-well bit with her crazy mother that got me ^.^

I know!!! He is pretty cool, I'm not gonna lie ^.^ I want death!tea too! hohoho... it was cool that he just had that lying around... he was so proud of his little conquest, too! ^.^

lol! *always* SYLAR! lol! poor Mohinder... will you ever win? 'apparently my power is narration...' ^.^

I think what got me in the Japanese version was the closeup of the crazy wide-eye, looking down. It's really unsettling. The American one had the nice cuts, the tape visuals along with the fast-cuts with the decaying corpses. Those creeped me out the most!

I really like Mohinder's narrations/monologues. Some find them pointless, but they actually make sense when you take the time to listen/read them closely. Besides, his voice is just...GUH! I could listen to him all day... *sigh*

Thanks for the link! I think I pretty much have almost all Zach/Sylar icons I could find. I went on a shameless hunt to find loads of Sylar and Mohinder ones, and I've found bundles of. I swear, my harddrive is going to break with their ultimate hotness clogging up the space. *giggles*
