Last night Center Stage aired on ABC Family, and I just couldn't help but sit down and watch despite the commercials and already owning the DVD. I love that movie, it's one of my favorite dance films in my collection. Even if you're not a dancer, you can't resist the inspirational feeling while watching it.

Centre Stage gets me... of course most dance movies do. There's just a part of the sad little girl who really wanted to be a dancer even though she sucked at it that likes to live vicariously through fictional characters.

6) I think I'd have to say Bones. I fell in love with this show slowly and one day I woke up and just adored it. It's got fun dialogue, great characters and character dynamics, UST, followable but interesting plot, and it just all comes together so well. I never feel cheated or betrayed by it (at least so far). Also it's a nice change to be shipping the same pairings as the show does for me.

1. Originally I think it was because of fandom interests, but I've come to learn that we have more similar things in common.

6. This may be hard for me to put into words, but I'll do my best. What I love most about Lucy is her...thirst for life. The fact that she seizes the day and lives life to the fullest. When she wants to accomplish something in her life, she goes for it, and she doesn't let fear get in the way. When she was 18, she bought a one way ticket to Europe to seek adventure and to pursue her acting career...and well, look where she is now! She always says that her biggest fear is being an old lady saying "coulda, woulda, shoulda." Lucy has actually been able to fullfill her dreams and that's an amazing thing to see. She inspires me to do the same.

1. We met through a friending meme, though I keep you friended because you're interesting, we have similar fandoms in common and we nice conversations whenever we can about certain things (i.e. college, life in general).
2. I associate you with Kate Walsh. Or, more specifically, Addison from Grey's Anatomy, because of your love for her.
3. I really like how dedicated you are about college work and, even though things are rough at home, you seem to deeply devote yourself to getting through college. I like that kind of ambition. Also, I love your taste in music.

Oh, I have so much love for Center Stage. I'm not a dancer, but I LOVE to watch most forms of dance, and I also have a weakness for teen movies. I love it when the two are combined!

I'm a liberal Democrat. The only thing Democrats and I disagree on is illegal immigrants and maybe abortion. I don't believe in abortion after the fetus has brain activity.

I don't vote (for various reasons) but am seriously considering registering so that I can vote for Barak Obama in the next election.

That may be true, but I understand that it's all for the entertainment of the movie. Realisticness be damned! Though I kind of believe they had an intermission of sorts, like here's this scene, and here's that scene...but it would take a long freaking time for outfit and hairstyle changes in between all those pauses. Especially with pointe shoes as you mentioned. Oh well, I love the movie anyway, it's supposed to be silly and fun and entertaining. And suspending belief in that manner, those costume changes are pretty damn cool!

1. Um...Wonderfalls, BtVS, Angel, Dead Like Me, Firefly/Serenity, VMars, do I need to continue? No seriously, we have many things in common, those fandoms plus more. And if I remember correctly, I actually got you into VMars after babbling about it for some time. So yeah.
2. I associate you with anything Joss-related.
3. Although you're not online a lot, I like your spontaneous postings and comments.
4. Oh, many memories with you come up. The memories I have of you are very fandom-based, like squeeing over episodes of VMars or talking about Joss Whedon related news. Though I really remember our back-and-forth talks about Wonderfalls and during that time of "saving" that show, despite its failure in doing so, along with getting you addicted to some other of my fandoms. Ah, good times. Hee!

6. I live exactly in Canada, in the province of Alberta, in the city of Calgary... if you follow Hockey at all Calgary Flames. I am always online just rarely on LJ, but... www.myspace.com/phoenix2580 is where you will find me the most... several times a day on a weekend and at least once at night on weeknights... BSG!!! Well you love it and given our "things in common" I was eventually going to just check it out but a mentor of mine just raves about it and I made him a deal that if he watched VMARS this summer I would watch all three Seasons of BSG... I love Heroes but no time for a fandom but I watch regularly.

Hee, sounds like a good deal to me! I think you'll certainly love it or at least enjoy it, especially if you like Firefly/Serenity. Lots of interesting characters and storylines and plots. Be sure to report about it after you finished (or during your viewing of it) and your reaction to it, with any questions or concerns you have!

Yay for being a Heroes fan! I understand about not having time for fandom, though I do post episode reviews (naturally, obviously) and will post some theories I have before it comes back here on April 23rd, so feel free to reply to those if you like. Tell me, who is your favortite character on the show, and which is your favorite episode so far?

I am not sure if I have a favourite epi, cause it isn't like Buffy with a self contained story for each. But I love how it answers questions every epi, then of course for every one it answers it poses two but that isn't the point.

Aw, don't make me choose! Well, I think when it comes right down to it my favorite episodes are "Homecoming" and "Company Man".
