Fanvid Friday: Aylin/Luna (23.5 Degrees)

My Comments: 23.5 Degrees is an adorable lighthearted Thai GL drama that I've talked briefly about before, mainly how Aylin is my favorite character and how I saw a lot of myself in her, and this fanvid centers entirely around the relationship that builds between Aylin and Luna throughout the drama. They may be the secondary couple, but I actually was more invested with their relationship than the main couple. The vidder did a great job editing and pairing particular scenes to show how everything between them connects together, especially the dialogue sprinkled throughout.

Aw, that was delightful. I really like how Thai culture is so okay with same sex couples and can just have it right out there in a show or series without being coy or aggressively hetero.

I really like how varied they are, too. There can be the lighthearted cute dramas and then the melodramatic hardcore ones with nudity and sex scenes. They're not afraid of that representation, even when Thailand had been fighting for LGBT rights (and recently won!) some of their dramas often reflected that fight. I've only just dipped my toe into Thai dramas, but I really like what I'm seeing so far. :)
