++ We got our first look at the third season of The Legend of Vox Machina, just the opening title sequence but it features a lot of interesting Easter eggs including a very small one from the current third campaign. It'll premiere in October, but just seeing this and knowing what is coming has me excited to see certain moments played out.

++ Life Is Strange: Double Exposure was announced, which is a direct sequel to the first game that came out in 2015. This honestly caught me by surprise since I didn't know this was in development at all. Personally, aside from some issues and opinions I have about certain things (mostly with the toxicity of the fandom but also with how the new developers screwed over Ashly Burch in Life Is Strange: Before The Storm), I am pretty neutral when it comes to this franchise. Although I am more familiar and invested with the first game I also know of the other games released and have heard good things about them. With this new one it also seems they are taking inspiration from the official (yet non-canon) comics that were released where they explore one of the possible endings from the first game, so I'm curious to see what happens in this story.

++ The Lord Of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is an upcoming anime film adapted from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and is a prequel to Peter Jackson's LOTR trilogy, which a few official stills were recently released.

Not gonna lie, I'm actually intrigued by this. Animation can work wonders for such genres like fantasy where live-action often falls short, and this being anime style animation has definitely sparked an interest. We'll have to see how it is in motion, but I do appreciate switching things up and doing something new and different.

++ Lastly, my copy of The Untamed: The Official Artbook arrived today! :D I love official art books from media, they may be big, bulky and heavy, but I just love them.

Oooh, I have a friend who will definitely be into the anime version of LOTR! I'll have to see if she's heard of this. The still look promising! I agree with the way animation can fill a lot of gaps when it comes to adaptation. There really is no limit to what's possible. I love 2D especially and am glad to see it coming back, even in a small way. Hyper realism isn't the only game in town anymore. Hooray!

It's such a different approach that I'm impressed that this is happening, like regardless of how well it is having an anime LOTR movie is something I never thought I would've wanted until now.

Exactly—after the "Rings of Power" series, I was burnt out just hearing about it, and that wasn't long ago. This definitely looks cool though!

An anime Tolkien adaptation does sound interesting! (I mean, the Rankin-Bass animated Hobbit and Return of the King were two of my favorite movies as a kid, and I still love them both, so I'm probably predisposed to like this idea. ;)

Yeah, which is why this makes perfect sense. It's long overdue for an upgraded animated adaptation, and this being in anime style it has be fascinated by how it'll look in its entirety.

Oh wow I didn't know about the anime film, but funnily enough, I remember a few of the Japanese folks on my twitter dash tweeting about it (which makes sense now). I thought it was another like shoujo anime or something I wasn't into so I scrolled past it without translating it. Cool!

Yeah, this was the first I heard about it, too. I wasn't aware this was happening, but now that it's come to my attention I'm very much interested. I want to see what the animation looks like in motion, but I'm quite fascinated by seeing Middle-earth in this style.

I liked the first two seasons of Vox Machina and I'm excited for the upcoming season.

Life is Strange is my favorite video game I've played but I didn't realize about Life is Strange: Before the Storm which explains why it lacked what made the first game so special.

I'm also interested in the anime LotR prequel!
