My Comments: There are plenty of fanvids out there of this show that I love that feature the same theme, but ultimately I think this one really demonstrates the beating heart of Battlestar Galactica: it's about how deeply and beautifully flawed these characters are. No matter human or Cylon, they are just people who are trying their best to navigate life and survive, to find purpose, to find something to hold onto, to live for, for life to have a meaning for them and what they do, and the struggles they go through to achieve it. It's ugly, it's messy, it's hard to watch at times. This fanvid encapsulates all of that, from the choice of dialogue and scenes used to the music set to it, making it appropriately somber in tone. It's a good example of why BSG is among my top favorite science fiction shows of all time.

Thanks, BSG is definitely one of the best sci-fi shows out there.

It really is. BSG was such an impactful and powerful show that sticks with you, so much so that it still has this hold on me even many years later. The only other scifi show that has ever come close to that in recent years for me has been The Expanse.
