Finally finishing up that movie meme:

A movie you love from a genre you usually don't like.
I'm kind of cheating here, because this is more of a miniseries than a movie, however when watching all the parts together can be viewed as a movie. Anyway, it's North and South (2004). Historical and period dramas/movies in general can be a hit or miss for me depending on how it is done, and stories similar to that of Jane Austen does absolutely nothing for me. They're just not my thing. However, North and South surprised me. Yes, I mainly watched it because of Richard Armitage, but what drew me in was that there was more going on with the plot which fascinated me. The cultural differences (including reverse culture shock), the industrial revolution, class issues, worker's rights and all of that.

A movie you haven't seen yet but really want to.
Oh man, there's quite a long list. When it comes to recent movies, Scream 6, which I'm surprised at myself for not having seen it yet, being a fan of the franchise and all. Also X and Pearl, because everything I've seen from them makes me really curious, particularly because of Mia Goth. Although I'm debating whether I should watch them before or after the third and final installment of the trilogy comes out.

As for older films, I've always wanted to see Dancer in the Dark, but I know that I'll have to be in a particular mindset in order to watch it.

Your go to for a movie pick me up.
I don't necessarily have a specific movie, but a specific genre: horror. Strangely, I find horror to be a comfort genre.

Same. Also I just found out that the North and South mini-series from 2004 and from the 1980s are based on entirely different books with entirely different stories! My sister was a huge fan of the old one, and I was so sure that the new one was a remake of the same story that I never even checked until now. xD (I've never watched either of them myself.)

Also same! Mostly anime and tv rather than movies, but no media has been as comforting to me in the last few years as Higurashi or Yellowjackets, or more recently The Last of Us. :)
