++ It has been announced that, officially, The Husky and His white Cat Shizun (aka 2ha, or Erha), is going to have an official English translation. I know that the author confirmed this a little while ago, but to actually have more confirmation that yes, this is really happening, with actual links to where you can pre-order and everything, is really exciting! It'll be done by the same publishing house as those who are releasing MXTX's novels. It just makes me wonder how many volumes 2ha will have though, since the novel is over 300 chapters including the extras, so. Either way I'm very happy that this is happening. I've been meaning to check out the series since I've seen it around for a while and have always been curious about the story itself.

(Now I'm just hoping that the live-action drama will be released soon, once the censorship limbo that it, and others, are currently in is lifted, whenever that'll be.....)

++ Sadly, it seems that Netflix has cancelled The Baby-Sitters Club after two seasons. On one hand, considering the amount of time in between filming and how fast the young cast is growing up I really couldn't see them going that much longer unless they did a time skip, but still it sucks. This was a cute series, a nice modern adaptation of the books that really made some good changes that fit for the story and the characters.

++ Hearing about how Disney is supporting and funding homophobic/transphobic campaigns isn't entirely surprising, but it's still massively disappointing and disgusting all the same, especially since they don't have any plans on retracting their support of said campaigns. I want to say that I hope they do better, but knowing that it's Disney, a megacorporation, they probably won't. But it just further proves how performative their LGBT support has been, among other things. Ugh.

Agree also on Disney - I'm disappointed and confused. Since they do push trans and homosexual stories on various ABC series. But not nearly enough. I have a feeling the content providers over there and the share holders are at war over this - actually they are according to an article I read.
So there's hope?

And I don't know. I mean, there may be some hope, at least in terms of probably publicly backing out from supporting those bills especially due to the backlash that they've been getting, so that might happen if they feel enough pressure. However, it won't really feel sincere and I won't trust anything unless something seriously changes internally with things, where we actually see the results instead of it just being lip service.

I'm sad about the BSC as well...it was a such a nice feel-good show! But you make a good point with them growing up much faster than they are filming.

I feel like if it was on anywhere else other than Netflix it probably would've lasted a couple more seasons, at least, without there being worry of the kids growing up that quickly in between. Netflix has a weird filming/premiering schedule, never mind how they kind of favor certain shows over others. It's just a shame because it was quite a delightful little show, definitely feel-good with and adorable cast.

We're changing to summer time at the end of the month here and I'd really like for it to be the last time. This BS was supposed to stop in the EU, but it's been delayed yet again because of Covid.

I've heard about 2ha's release and I'm curious about it. About the drama as well.

I only vaguely know about the plot of 2ha, I've seen the fanart and vague descriptions but that's about it, but it has me intrigued so I'm pleased about it getting an official translation physical release.

I could have sworn that I heard about Disney being very good to their LGBT+ employees and even giving them benefits before same-sex marriages were recognized in the whole country. Their RL policies seemed more progressive than their onscreen representation. So this actually did surprise me.

I feel like both things can simultaneously be true, like they're good to their LGBT employees and while still back homophobic campaigns at the same time. It is a mega corporation, after all, and there are many people who work and are in control of things, and, of course, things can change over time. Perhaps things weren't as good as they claimed, and this is just revealing it. Again, I don't know the internal affairs of the corporation as a whole. Regardless, this news is just horrible.

Ugh Disney. Could you just land on the right side of history? I love a lot of Disney things but as a company they're not good. I guess that's true of most, if not all, big companies. In order to get that big and successful in this world you can't also be good and ethical.
