This is a time where I'm kind of revisiting old shows that I haven't rewatched a long time, but I'm also getting into shows that I've heard about from others but never actually saw an episode of other than people referencing it. Buzzfeed Unsolved: Supernatural is one of those shows. And I'm honestly astounding how I didn't get into this show before, since this is precisely the kind of content I thrive for. I've watched some paranormal investigation shows in the past so you'd think I would've been all over this the moment I heard about it, and yet I didn't get into it until just now.

There is just something so hilarious seeing two people with different approaches to the paranormal investigating together, one who believes and one who certainly doesn't believe and who often taunts the potential ghosts in an area ("hey, you demon fuck!") leading to so comedic moments between the two. It's entertaining to watch, and I need a good laugh right now.

I'm also watching some other old paranormal-esque shows (The Others and Freakylinks) because I haven't seen them in a long ass time and, for some reason, I'm now compelled to try and find old shows that lasted about one season or so and watch them again.

Now I want to check that series out! I am very much of two minds when it comes to the paranormal - part of me is all, "ooh, paranormal explanations here I come!", the other part of me just goes "logical explanations are more probable." Sounds like this show strikes that balance.

Yeah, the two hosts, Ryan and Shane, are very Mulder and Scully in that regard, it leads to a lot of hilarity with their bantering and how they approach investigating locations, made even better that they're friends and everything they say and do, both investigating and to each other, are things friends would do in such situations. Shane being the nonbeliever and so blase is what makes it so funny, in my opinion, because she's the one shouting and insulting any potential ghosts/demons that may lurk somewhere while Ryan is just like, "Jesus dude wtf!" It's so great.

I feel like I'm a combination between the two, like I'm both in that camp of "it's a possibility something could exist" while also being like, "well, if it did exist, perhaps show yourself so we can have some proof!" I wouldn't go so far as Shane does with being all, "You're a coward, Mr. Demon! Why won't you possess/hurt me?", but I wouldn't mind having someone like that around to lighten the mood, which is what this show basically is like. It's less serious than most paranormal investigative shows, and it's just something where I can imagine doing with a best friend.

I'm also someone who likes looking up and learning about the history of haunted places, so y'know, it tickles my fancy quite a bit.

(Here's a compilation of Shane taunting ghosts (https://youtu.be/KjG2sQ2wbIU) from the show, because it's hilarious. All the seasons, six I believe, are available on YouTube -- and Amazon Prime I think -- and they're short seasons, but still, I like having a compilation of just Shane being, well, Shane.)

I love the Buzzfeed dudes! I'm more into their true crime series, Buzzfeed: Unsolved.

I'm slowly making my way through all of their series, to be honest, both Supernatural and True Crime. And I just recently found out that they left Buzzfeed earlier this year to create their own company with their own content, which makes sense. Puppet History is just so delightfully informative and hilarious. lol
