Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Apr. 30th, 2018 11:21 amHere are some further details on what the game will feature.
I'll reiterate what I mentioned in my previous post: Lara Croft has always been a constant throughout my life. I was introduced to Tomb Raider during elementary school (Tomb Raider II being the first game I played of that franchise) and I absolutely fell in love with everything about it. Lara is an action heroine that was kind of unheard at that time, and even though I was quite young I knew that I had never seen a woman be the main character in a video game in that way before, so she was quite formative for me. I mean, she's basically the female equivalent to Indiana Jones, another character I grew up with and loved, so that helped immensely. The fact that Lara Croft has continued to be the face of this franchise – which has transcended beyond just the video games – is truly astounding and just shows how iconic she is. I get excited for anything involving Lara Croft as a character, seeing her story grow and expand. I absolutely love her, and will continue to follow whatever the future brings for the Tomb Raider multi-media franchise.
If you haven't played Tomb Raider, particularly these reboot games, I highly recommend it.

Date: 2018-05-20 09:10 am (UTC)Can't wait to play Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It looks amazing, just like the previous two in the reboot :D Looks like Lara's fully morphed into the tomb raider, right? It's going to be amazing, and being able to see how everything started... we're so lucky! :)
By the way... it's May. When are they going to announce Alicia Vikander's sequel!? *fingers crossed* The movie was soooo good, it deserves at least one more.

Date: 2018-05-30 04:27 pm (UTC)I'm hoping that there's a sequel. I know that it didn't do so well in the US (unfortunately), but it did very well internationally, which hopefully that will be enough to warrant a sequel and possible franchise. Because c'mon, it's Tomb Raider! How can there not be more of this franchise in any medium?
