++ Dark Matter has been renewed for a third season! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ I'm honestly so happy and relieved. This is one of my favorite little shows that doesn't get enough attention that it rightfully deserves from fandom spaces, but I'm happy that it is still going strong nonetheless. For anyone who is interested in the show, I wrote a brief review of season one. There's no spoilers, just the reasons why I personally love the setup and structure of the series and its characters. (◕‿◕✿)

++ I've been hearing conflicting reports from various sources whether Girl Meets World will be renewed for a fourth season. As it stands, they're currently pending and in limbo at the moment. Personally, as I have mentioned this before, I would love for it to be renewed but move to another network like Freeform (formerly ABC Family). Let us not forget that Boy Meets World was originally on ABC before being syndicated on other networks. Since Rowan herself has talked about wanting to explore more mature themes and introducing more inclusion onto the show, I would prefer Girl Meets World to transfer to somewhere else where they can have more freedom to further expand on those kinds of subject matters, especially with the cast/characters getting older. It just makes more sense that way, in my opinion. Regardless what happens though, I'm so happy that we have gotten this show (it's not perfect, but it has many heartwarming and important moments plus the nostalgia and the cuteness factor) and that we were introduced to someone like Rowan Blanchard, who has proven herself to be a little woke bby and is incredibly important to the next generation of young girls who look up to her.

I agree with everything you said about GMW. I've only just finished season two, but I would love to see it move to a different network (and Freeform -- that name makes me laugh every time I see it -- has been doing some interesting things, and was even back when it was ABC Family) to explore different topics.

It just seems like the most logical step to take, imho. I mean, the show does the best it can with the restrictions they're given, but ultimately Disney Channel nowadays targets a very specific audience and all their programs are similarly formulaic that I can't see them allowing the show to grow beyond what I know they can become. Since this is the successor to BMW, a show where it truly was a coming-of-age story and seeing the stages of childhood, adolescence and young adulthood, from junior high, high school and college and tackling various issues along the way, it just makes sense for it to do the same. Perhaps not at the same extent as BMW did, but to at least progress somewhat in that direction of focusing on more mature themes.

I just see a lot of potential there, and that potential can only be reached if they go away from Disney Channel and onto another network.

I'm always worried whenever I get attached super quick to certain shows especially during the summer, particularly ones that nobody seems to talk about, but I'm happy that it got renewed because Dark Matter is such a fantastic little science fiction show that makes me so happy that it exists. :)

I still haven't seen any of Killjoys yet. There's just a lot to catch up on with my shows as it is. One of these days I'll binge watch it.

Whenever I get attached to a particular show, especially one that I don't see enough noise about, I always get nervous about whether it'll be renewed or not. But I'm utterly thankful that Syfy has some sense about renewing something that is such a gift. Dark Matter just makes me inexplicably happy. :D

I'm similar when it comes to my shows. I try to keep up, but oftentimes I fall back.

But yes, Dark Matter is such an amazing show. Excellent science fiction that hits all the tropey feels, in a good way of course. I think you'll like it, once you find the time to check it out, that is. ;)

Me too! I'm not using any statistical information to back this up or anything, just my limited knowledge, but especially since I think sci-fi shows have a harder time at it. This is the age of superheroes and supernatural, it seems surprising that Dark Matter is doing well, but I'm really happy it is.
