Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Official Trailer

After we had our little teaser, this is the first official full trailer of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story which premiered during last night's Olympics (although the Internet got it much earlier, tyvm), giving us a taste of what this film will feature.

This trailer held a bit more ominous feeling, from the slower version of the Imperial March theme being woven into the music and then the brief shot of Darth Vader at the end. If there was any doubt that he would be appearing in this film, this places all of that to rest. I'm glad that we didn't get more than that, since it would probably spoil anything else of the extent of his role in the film, but still gives fans just enough for them to get hyped. And of course we get the characters of the rebellion teaming up for this top secret mission. I'm already loving the inclusion of the ensemble cast and what we see of them from here, and as mentioned before this will be much different from the other Star Wars films. It has a completely different tone and story to tell, but just based off the trailers alone it still feels like it's in the same universe.

I'm very excited and hopeful for this movie. There really isn't much else to say other than I'm really looking forward to seeing it.

The music!!!! I can't wait. So excited for this, I hope it doesn't disappoint (it doesn't look like it's going to disappoint... or if it does... at least it'll look pretty!)

The music gets me every single time. It's the same as the first teaser, just everything about the material we've gotten so far has me very hopeful for what this stand-alone will bring. :)

I really liked this trailer. Some parts made me think of Guardians of the Galaxy meets Star Wars, which makes sense for a movie with Rogue in the title. :-)

It just looks like a solid movie, from how the trailers make it seem. From the casting and the visuals to the overall look and tone. I really want this to be good and do well, I want this to be an amazing stand-alone.

The visuals alone has me incredibly hyped (I mean, those shots of the AT-ATs are amazing). The cast looks incredible, they really got a good range of actors involved with this (I mean, Alan Tudyk is voicing the robot seen in this trailer, which I didn't realize until just recently!) and I really want this to be good.

I remember when they announced that they were doing a prequel stand-alone film I was disinterested in it, however after The Force Awakens I was impressed with the direction they were heading in and seeing the promotional stuff for Rogue One intrigued me. And then after the first teaser was released I was all in. :D

Yeah, I've always been more of a casual fan of Star Wars and I like the movies well enough, but I don't go further with anything else beyond that though. I know some who follow the show and like it well enough, but I know it wouldn't be for me.

The casting for this movie is phenomenal, such a great lineup of actors involved. At first when the movie was announced I didn't necessarily care, but then the excitement from TFA and how well that did, I'm looking forward to seeing this. :)

It was AWESOME that's it and I can't wait for it... It looks spectacular and I think the story will be interesting... I don't understand how some fans are planning to boicot the movie... So silly... I'll personally try to be there on opening day... Even if it's going to be tricky since I'll be traveling back to the states around that time so I have to decide if I want to see it in Italian (meh) or I'll be able to wait to get there... If I end up waiting I might ask the uber driver to drop me at the movie theater directly XD

I haven't heard anything about people wanting to boycott it, though it wouldn't be surprising since certain "fans" wanted to boycott The Force Awakens because it featured a black man in a predominant role, which then expanded after learning the story also focused on a young woman.

Meh, I pay no mind to those people. I'm pretty psyched for this movie.

I'm so much more excited for this movie than I was before which is almost impossible, seeing as I already was so excited. I'm with you on that it feels like it's in the same universe, but you can tell it will be different. I also just love the gritty feel of it.
