Are you a meticulous note leaver/taker or do you just have a good memory?

I wouldn't say I'm meticulous per se, but I definitely take lots of notes and have many notebooks I write in. My memory isn't quite eidetic enough like some other people in my family who can remember things pretty easily. I write things down so I can remember them later, since I'm someone who can have a scatterbrain at times, especially when there's so much I'm doing. This comes in handy with buying things at the store, which I learned from my mother. Another thing I was taught was leaving notes to let others know where I would be, sometimes with the time I left to the approximate time I may be back.

I have to leave notes for myself, especially to-do lists or else I'll forget something.
