I've seen these floating around everywhere and figured, eh, why not? I'm also snagging weaselett's idea of combining the two character memes into one, simply because it's easier.

Pick any character from a fandom of mine (or two or three) and I'll answer the following questions:

01. What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her.

BLAIR WALDORF

01. What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her. I really adored her character. She's that kind of character that was horrible but showed she had heart and kindness and compassion. There were layers to her character that I felt were highlighted beautifully by Leighton's acting, where there was a likeability to her.
03. Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally? I don't particularly relate to her, but I became quite attached to her character. So much that when they started messing up her character on the show I got offended on her behalf.
04. How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from? I wasn't much of a participant of the fandom when the show aired. I heard some things that went down though, and not in a positive way. Again, like most fandoms with huge fanbases, it was mostly shipper wars/entitlement and whatnot.
05. Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic) Dan/Blair because my ultimate OTP, though I truly believe Blair's platonic life partner is Serena (much like in the books where they both went off into the sunset together).
06. Is there anything about the character you would change? Well, I would've wanted the show to have left her character alone and just progressed things naturally instead of reducing what made Blair Waldorf amazing in the first place. I would also have her luscious bouncy, curly/wavy hair back that I adored in S1.
07. If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her? Would you get along well? Fall in love with him/her? Dislike? Have a friendly rivalry? Oh goodness, as much as I adore her on the screen I'm not entirely certain we'd get along in real life. She has that intimidation level that I wouldn't want to mess with. So, admiration from afar but not get too close. I mean, if I were to become someone in that fandom I probably would risk wanting to be amongst her circle, but idk how long I'd last tbh.
08. Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites? She's basically my only favorite from this trainwreck of a show.
09. Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about this character (if you dislike) to someone new to fandom? Completely hype her up! But only for the first season, since everything goes downhill after that, for everyone not just Blair.

My unpopular opinion about this character: That I absolutely love her and wanted her to have a happy ending that she rightfully deserves? Does that count as an unpopular opinion?
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: That she never went back to Chuck after the abusive shit he put her through, and either she and Dan or Serena just went off together and never looked back.

UGH THIS YES THIS WOULD BE MY EVERYTHING. ditto to her returning to sleazy rapey abusive chuck. i hate so much that the writers did a 180 and put them back together in the last season... actually, i just pretend the entire seventh season (and last episode of the sixth season) do not even exist, for the most part. also, smh at the writers turning gg into a r'ship drama when it was BEST as a friendship love story between blair + serena.

I'm just glad that Leighton Meester recently spoke out against it. I had a feeling she didn't like what was happening on the show, but of course couldn't say anything at the time and now has had the opportunity to speak up on her thoughts. It makes me happy.
