I've seen these floating around everywhere and figured, eh, why not? I'm also snagging weaselett's idea of combining the two character memes into one, simply because it's easier.

Pick any character from a fandom of mine (or two or three) and I'll answer the following questions:

MELINDA MAY

01. What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her. She's absolutely fabulous in every single way. Immediately as soon as I saw her, I adored her. I helps that she's played by Ming-Na, a.k.a. Mulan, and thus forever a badass? Also despite that badassness she's also quite protective of those she cares about, and shows tenderness, understanding and compassion. Just, ugh, I love her so much.
02. Is he/she important to the general plot? YES. Very much so.
03. Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally? The only thing I can probably relate to her is the protectiveness she has over her team. She does grip me emotionally in those scenes, for sure.
04. How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from? I'm not that deep into the Marvel fandom.
05. Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic) Melinda/Coulson, shipping wise. For other relationships, I love how motherly she is with the rest of the team; Jemma and Fitz and Skye, the latter most recently because of how much she and Skye have been spending time together and she had no hesitation helping and defending her (along with Coulson) no matter what. ♥
06. Is there anything about the character you would change? Nope, she's perfect.
07. If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her? Would you get along well? Fall in love with him/her? Dislike? Have a friendly rivalry? Um, I'd most definitely fall in love with her. Who wouldn't? I mean, JFC I'm already in love with her and imagining myself coming face-to-face with May, idk what I'd do. As for getting along, once I've proven my trust sure, I'd like to think we'd get along. Then again, she could beat me up and I wouldn't care. lol
08. Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites? Certainly up there as one of my favorites, yes.
09. Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about this character (if you dislike) to someone new to fandom? Totally and completely hype her up.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Melinda and Skye, I just love their relationship on the show this season. It's both in a mentor and in a motherly sense.
My unpopular opinion about this character: I don't think there is anything unpopular to say about her?
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: MORE. MAY. BACKSTORY AND FLASHBACKS.
