I've seen these floating around everywhere and figured, eh, why not? I'm also snagging weaselett's idea of combining the two character memes into one, simply because it's easier.

Pick any character from a fandom of mine (or two or three) and I'll answer the following questions:

CORDELIA CHASE

01. What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her. I absolutely adore Cordelia. I obviously loved seeing her character grow and mature on Angel, but I also loved her on BTVS and how her character was involved with some of the wacky shenanigans that was happening. I think I was overall impressed and fascinated with how, after being revealed the truth after S1, she basically was quite nonchalant about it and kept her distance when she needed to (much like everyone in Sunnydale, I believe) but still managed to help out and be part of the group when she wanted to. It's one of my favorite aspects about her character on Buffy.
02. Is he/she important to the general plot? Quite, particularly on Angel.
03. Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally? I would say I empathize with her more than relate.
04. How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from? Despite the wanks and dramas that occurred throughout (which comes with the territory of any fandom, really), I like the BTVS/Angel fandoms very much. It was my first online fandom, so of course it would hold a special place in my heart.
05. Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic) I have to say, I was intrigued by the Angel/Cordelia relationship that developed on Angel. In a sense that I wish more had happened with them.
06. Is there anything about the character you would change? That the events of the fourth season didn't happen, and that she DIDN'T DIE.
07. If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how would you see yourself interacting with him/her? Would you get along well? Fall in love with him/her? Dislike? Have a friendly rivalry? Goodness, I don't know. If it was during her high school years I certainly would've been intimidated by her, surely. But ultimately fascinated at the same time. I would of course want to get to know her, though, and perhaps later on in life we would befriend each other and certainly we would've gotten along.
08. Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites? Certainly one of my favorites, for sure.
09. Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about this character (if you dislike) to someone new to fandom? HYPE HER UP. TREMENDOUSLY. Although I haven't seen much of it, I'm positive that Cordelia has gotten some amount of hate or disregard for some reason or another, and I would want to say NO NO NO, SHE IS AMAZING JUST YOU WAIT.

My unpopular opinion about this character: Um, I'm not entirely sure? I don't know what's unpopular re: her character amongst fandom anymore.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Aside from the not dying part, I wished Cordelia had visited Sunnydale again since she moved to LA and started working with Angel. I know that different shows and the crossover episodes were so few and far between, but I always wanted her to reconnect with Buffy and the rest of the gang so they could see how much she's grown up. Had Cordelia lived and survived the great battle in LA, I would've wanted her to join up with Buffy.
