What's one tv show you've wanted to watch for ages but haven't gotten around to?

Shameless (US), I actually watched like the first two episodes but haven't gotten around to watching the rest of it, mostly due to unavailability. And I know I have, like, four seasons worth to get through. I've heard so many good things about this show, especially the performances, most notably of Emmy Rossum who is, in my opinion, severely underrated and deserves more recognition. I'm hoping to find time and a way of watching the entirety of S1 and the rest of the series.

Yes, Shameless is soooooo good! It's funny in that ridiculous, slightly twisted, should-I-really-be-laughing kind of way but it's got plenty of gut-wrenching drama too. Emmy Rossum is freaking astounding as Fiona Gallagher.

Based on what I've seen, that is pretty accurate. It has that dark humor and mature themes going on, but also really heavy material with what this family is going through. And from the two episodes I've seen along with online clips, I know that this family is gonna get me right in the feels, and Emmy is gonna plunk at my heartstrings. And I am absolutely ready for it....as soon as I get my hands on the entire first season, of course. ;)

I have so many things on my To Watch list. Shameless has been kind of at the top for a while now, and I do have the third and fourth season downloaded. It's just the matter of finding S1/S2 and the time to watch it among all my other shows.

Shameless is a great show with a lot of heart, you should definitely watch more when you get the chance :)

Aww you totally need to find a way to watch it! Emmy Rossum's performance is amazing, but so is so many of the other characters and the storylines change - some I have liked others, not so much - but overall it's an amazing series. I've never watched the UK version - though have been tempted to - but it's hard to find. I've heard they different A LOT from each other.

I heard that only the pilot had similarities with the UK version, but otherwise from there on out it takes a life of its own and is completely separate from its UK counterpart. Which I'm glad, since from what I heard the UK Fiona basically leaves the series at some point, and I don't think I could handle Emmy leaving the show since she is the main draw for me, personally speaking.

I honestly don't think Emmy would leave the show or that showtime would write her off - the US Shameless is about Fiona and their family/friends, getting rid of her would be the stupidest thing a show could do (and we all know how some shows can be major stupid *winks*) But if Emmy left, they would lose ALL their viewers. :)

I've been trying to find the first season on streaming, but I figure I just need to rent or buy it on DVD anyway since I know I'll probably own it regardless.

It's really good and only got better after the first season in my opinion! Hope you'll get around to watching it and Emmy Rossum is amazing!
