The Emmys Recap
Sep. 18th, 2005 09:22 pmKristen Bell's rendition of "Fame" was wickedly stellar, despite that it was a short snippet. Still, loved it. She was slightly lip-syncing, but it's understandable because with that kind of choreography she'd be out of breath within seconds. But there's no doubt that she has a wonderfully harmonious voice!
Hugh Laurie and Zach Braff presenting together, with Hugh using his British accent and Zach hilariously imitating a British accent. Priceless.
Megan Mullally singing with Donald Trump while playing in character of Karen Walker, another priceless moment.
Ellen DeGeneres!
Winners
LOST won Best Drama! Whoo-hoo! They absolutely deserve this award. Also, JJ Abrhams also won for Best Director for the pilot episode.
Patricia Arquette also won an Emmy for Best Lead Actress, which I am very delighted she did. She's one hell of an actress and deserves this kind of recognition -- though she was up against Mariska, which is quite a competition because I also love Mariska as well. But I'm glad Patricia won. Her acceptance speech was very heartwarming, too. And the second season of Medium begins tomorrow! Whee! XD
Jon Stewart got an Emmy! *glee*
Disappointments
Other than Veronica Mars not even being nominated for a single Emmy, House hardly won at all (besides the Best Writing/Direction for "Three Stories"). Hugh Laurie didn't win either, but once again was up against another competition being James Spader. Though it's a disappointment, I'm not going to lash out and scream in anger. Because the Emmys are just another awards show that hardly recognizes some television beauties that's out there. *cough*Buffy*cough*
Though I only watched snippets of the Emmys this evening, and had gotten more information online, I am happy for those that did win an Emmy. Questioning the polls and votes on some, but as said before I'm not going to lash out over something insignificant like an awards ceremony like this. Congratulations to those that won, and better luck next time to those that didn't.
