Aug. 15th, 2013 10:39 amJust a little GOT/ASOIAF meme questionnaire thing:
Which House are you from?
In my heart I want to say Targaryen (because, duh), but I think I would belong to the Tyrells, simply because matriarchy and all. I would rather belong to a House that holds a lot of strength, respect and power in women than in men as most of Westerosi politics do. Or I would just go Across the Narrow Sea and live amongst the free cities there, and not worry about the anything in Westeros at all.
Which of the 5 kings (Robb, Renly, Joffrey, Balon, Stannis) do you fight for?
I fight for the future Queens, tbh.
Favorite Book?
A Game of Thrones and A Storm of Swords
Favorite Sigil and Words?
Sigil: Three-Headed Dragon of the House Targaryen
Words: "Fire and Blood" (Targaryen), "Winter Is Coming" (Stark), and "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken" (Martell)
Who do you think will sit on the Iron Throne in the end?
Honestly, I don't think there will be an Iron Throne in the end. I truly believe that it might be destroyed in some form or another, especially since they have bigger problems to worry about with the Others and the like. Now if it were a question of who will rise on top at the end of the series, my bets are on Daenerys and the Stark children. Daenerys and Jon would take and rule the realm together, Sansa would be Queen of the North, with Bran and Rickon and Arya right behind her reclaiming what was ripped away from them. I mean, the last book was originally gonna be titled A Time For Wolves; you cannot tell me that doesn't imply the Starks rising above everything that they've endured over the course of the series. The North remembers, after all.
Shaggydog, Grey Wind, Summer, Lady, Nymeria or Ghost?
All of them? Direwolves are just amazing creatures.
Would you join the Nights Watch?
Considering it's a brotherhood made up entirely of men who are quite strict about oaths and whatnot? No.
Most hated character?
Joffrey "the little shit" Baratheon, Walder Frey and Ramsay Bolton.
Khaleesi or Queen?
KHALEESI. ♥
Dragons or Direwolves?
DRAGONS, OF COURSE. But I also love Direwolves, too.
Which god(s) do you pray to?
I'm not religious, so none of them. However, the concept of their different kinds of faiths (from the Old Gods and the New, and then of R'hllor, the Lord of Light, etc) and mythologies that derived from those faiths is very fascinating to me.
Then finish with your favourite line from the series:"Five hundred of your Stormcrows against ten thousand of my Unsullied," said Dany. "I am only a young girl and do not understand the ways of war, yet these odds seem poor to me."It's from the books, but this line amuses me greatly because Dany exhibits a great deal of sass here. Plus with her "Woman? Is that meant to insult me? I would return the slap, if I took you for a man" line said directly after is the most quoted from by many people because it's quite an empowering statement, and it's something I wished the show had used because not only does it shows the wittiness of her character, but also the strength of the women of this series.

Date: 2013-08-18 11:46 am (UTC)I'd def want to be Tyrell, because they come across as the only house whose members people actually consistently look after each other and are any good at it. Of course, I might not feel that way once they're no longer at the top, but so far they've been very good about this. 'course, I assume it's all because of Olenna, so another generation might have been completely different...
Not sure about them ruling anything, or what, but at this point I expect all the Stark kids survive and have a relatively happy ending. At least the POV ones, which leaves only Rickard, whom I assume hasn't been created just so he can be dramatically killed, so I have hopes for him too...
Would anyone chose Queen over Khaleesi? xD

This is what I'm hoping for, too. After everything I just want them to come out of this series alive, reunited with each other and happy. I don't know how GRRM is gonna handle that, especially since there is certainly some setting up for their upcoming roles in the next two books and what is in store for them. Believe me, I've read a lot of meta about how all the Starks have a particular purpose and it gets me excited just thinking about it. If nothing else, I just want them to all survive in the end.

Date: 2013-08-26 07:33 pm (UTC)THIS.
I suddenly kinda fangirl Dany after watching all of S3 in the last three days. It used to be pretty much just The Arya Show for me, so that's nice. :D
I need to read the rest of the books, I've only read the first two.

Date: 2013-08-26 08:11 pm (UTC)Although I know what happens in the books, I'm slowly catching up to them myself as well.
I'm slightly worried on how the show will be handling her arc in the upcoming seasons though, because that's when her storyline started to bug some people and I really want them to do her story justice and present her struggles and fears and inner conflict with things that are happening around her, etc.
