++ Game of Thrones S3: Chaos teaser. Still waiting for an actual trailer with footage, but this is still pretty damn cool. It reminds me of that one BSG promo.

++ I'm going to be seeing The Hobbit for the fourth time tomorrow. Just catching it once more before it leaves theaters.

I'm still in the process of writing my review for it, but I just want to say that I really, really love this movie. Not only does this bring up all the nostalgia of when LOTR came out, but it has made me appreciate the world Tolkien set up and I'm understanding a lot more now than I did many years ago. Never mind my love for particular characters that I never thought I would ever have certain emotions for (i.e. all the dwarves.) It just makes me happy that it's been made into three movies to extend my love for these characters and the story. Besides, come on, who wouldn't want an extensive time revisiting Middle Earth for another year and some?

I feel the same way about The Hobbit! I know that there has been a lot of criticism because of the length (and usually I hate movies that are longer than 2 hours because I'm bored easily *lol*) but as far as I'm concerned, when it comes to Middle Earth the longer the movie it is the better. I mean, the SEEs for the LotR trilogy are almost 4 hours long and it still wasn't enough for me :D

I've seen criticism about there being three movies, and it really amuses me whenever someone complains about that than anything else. I mean, I initially was confused as well, but when you take a moment to consider the incredibly vast world Tolkien has with all this detailed backstory and mythology, it really makes sense. So any kind of criticism about it being too long or about it becoming a trilogy is PJ "selling out" and trying to "cash in" on everything makes me laugh. Like seriously, if you honestly think that, you must be new.

Peter Jackson is the only one I would trust to create these movies with the kind of passion and respect to the original source material as possible. I'd say, let him make extended everything. Make each of the Hobbit movies nine hours long for all I care. I wouldn't mind, and I don't think most fans wouldn't either. Like you said, look at the extended editions of LOTR. Even with all those hours it still wasn't enough. We want more because we love it.

Heh, sorry for ranting a bit there. :S

I could flail over this movie for hours, negl. Just the more I have watched it the more feelings I have about things. About the dwarves, about Thorin and Bilbo's friendship, and just Thorin in general really. And just thinking about what is to come in the next two movies. Just, yeah. I literally can't.

THIS MOVIE, THIS STORY, THESE CHARACTERS, EVERYTHING. IT HAS CONSUMED ME. ♥ ♥ ♥

Exactly. I've gone to see it five times, and I'm still gonna try to go again before it leaves theaters, and every single time I see it I just fall more in love, and have more feelings. The dwarves, Thorin and Bilbo's relationship, Thorin in general, Gandalf, the music, the scenery, the... yeah, the everything. This movie is just incredible. ♥

And just thinking about what is to come in the next two movies. Just, yeah. I literally can't.

Oh god. I can't, either. The next two movies are gonna kill us.

I just can't wait for the DVD, because I will be rewatching it so much. Also, the extended edition. I mean, can you imagine what will be included with that? GIMME ALL THE EXTENDED SCENES AND EXTRA GOODNESS. :D

Oh god. I can't, either. The next two movies are gonna kill us.

Especially the third movie. I am going to be an emotional wreck after that. :(

SO EXCITED. SO VERY EXCITED. ALL THE EXTRA SCENES AND GOODNESS, YES PLEASE.

And I'm going to be a wreck after the third one, too. None of my RL fandom friends have read the book in the last decade, so nobody really remembers how it ends, so I'm holding off on my squee so as not to spoil anyone, which means that all my flail gets directed at the internet, and OH MY GOD the third movie is going to ruin us. :(

Your userpic needs a funny caption, like "Horse's heart: It's what's for dinner."

Or in the spirit of Valentine's Day: "Eat your his heart out = The Dothraki way of saying I Love You"

Oh, the Hobbit :D It reminds me of when I was in high school and read all the books before the movies came out. I loved the books and I loved the movies.

I tried reading LOTR but I honestly couldn't get through the first few pages, lol. But I deeply appreciate the kind of world-building Tolkien did regardless. Considering once the movies came out I went to see them multiple times in the theaters and kind of got obsessed with them. It's no different with The Hobbit, just rekindles all the love. :)

Oh, I know Tolkien was great at the world-building.
