Warehouse 13 4.04 "There's Always A Downside"
Every artifact has a downside, even if it's something completely harmless.
This intertwining theme of the season just excites me. I know I probably will mention this every episode, but just everything connecting with all the cases and storylines makes me appreciate what this show is doing. Dealing with artifacts has always been their job, and in previous seasons they have actually used certain artifacts, but this season is dealing with the downside of using artifacts. Even if they are presumably harmless and doing things for good. Sometimes, the outcome is not so good. It's a chance many are willing to take because they think they are doing something for the greater good, while sometimes others, if they'd known the downside prior to using it, they probably wouldn't have done it. Or in some cases, they probably wouldn't change a thing and still done it because they believed it was in the right.
Our beloved characters have done this, and this season is exploring such consequences.
I am very interested in what the Brotherhood is going to do. Already we know that they are capable of doing anything under the radar, as what the end of the episode indicated that it was them that stole the marbles from the Warehouse itself and sent them to Hugo, just to show Artie that yes, they can do whatever they will and nothing will stop them. It really makes me anxious to see how the Regents are going to handle this, because there is no way that Artie can handle this all by himself, much less keep all this secret, since everything is being affected.
I seriously want to see the Brotherhood go up against Mrs. Fredrick, tbh. She could cut them with simply her glare alone, lol.
Best parts of the episode, though?
MYKA AND STEVE BROTP.
CLAUDIA AND PETE, BROTP.
HUGO MAKING ANOTHER APPEARANCE, YAY!
PROMOTING REVENGE ON THE SHOW! I THINK THAT IS CUTE, NEVER MIND GREAT WAY OF PIMPING IT OUT.
MENTIONING OF HOGWARTS WITH THE PRIVATE SCHOOL SHENANIGANS, AND THE CONTINUITY WITH THEIR THING WITH MUSHROOMS. SOMETHING STRANGE HAPPENS AND NEED TO EXPLAIN IT TO PEOPLE? MUSHROOMS. MUST'VE BEEN THE MUSHROOMS IN THAT FOOD YOU ATE/WATER YOU DRANK/GOT EXPOSED TO BY SOMETHING OR OTHER. MAJOR LULZ TO BE HAD WITH THAT. XD
MYKA MENTIONING HELENA BECAUSE SHE MISSES HER! ♥ ♥ ♥
Speaking of which, I know there are some parts of fandom (on Tumblr, anyway) who have been bitching about the lack of H.G. since the premiere, and it irritates me that the calm fandom family has been interrupted with this kind of annoyance. I mean, first of all, the show has not forgotten her, they obviously have referenced her. Secondly, Jaime Murray has another show she's doing so obviously she's been kind of busy with that, and they've left it open so her character can return at any given point during the season. I know people love her, but complaining that she's not there every single episode is not going to make her come back any faster, never mind dismissing another character (Steve) is not cool at all. They are all a big family on the show, nobody is left behind or forgotten. So, just chill people, okay? Helena will be back.
This fandom has been so good with not wanking about anything, and I want it to stay that way.
