OKAY. OKAY.
I HAVE A LOT OF THOUGHTS ABOUT THE TRAILER. MUCH EXCITEMENT FOR THINGS. HOWEVER, I WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE IMAGE ABOVE WHICH THE SCENE APPEARS IN THE TRAILER, AND HAS GOTTEN ME EVEN MORE EXCITED. :D :D :D :D :D
This is obviously a speculation from everyone else so far because we don't know how it will play out, however I cannot see it working any other way. At the end of the trailer we have Rory asking who killed all the Daleks, and then he sees the Doctor walking in carrying Amy in his arms. The camera shifts to his face and he goes, with a smirk, "Who do you think?" Now okay, this could just be part of the editing and it might be at all what we all think it is. However, everyone else is thinking it and I shall think it too: AMY KILLS ALL THE DALEKS. I mean seriously, this is the premiere episode of the series, and it was the first official episodic artwork image to be released. We know that this isn't when the inevitable will happen to the Ponds (yet, ;__;), so it has to mean something important, right? It's rather significant, I think.
I mean it also kind of reaffirms how awesome she is (as if we need a reminder.)
Amelia Pond is the Doctor's best friend. She would do anything to save him, and vice versa. And we've been proven before that Amy has done the impossible. So, why not kill all the Daleks in order to save her Doctor? To save everyone she loves? She's done it before, and she will do it again. I mean, seriously. This would be so freaking awesome if it is indeed true. I want it to be true. I mean sure, if it isn't and something else happens instead it doesn't mean it will diminish Amy's awesomeness in any way. Nothing will ever do that, tbh. But I want to bask in this speculation for a moment. *__*
BUT AGAIN, AWESOME THINGS ARE HAPPENING. BUT I DON'T WANT TO END UP CRYING KNOWING WHAT IS TO COME, SO I JUST WANT TO BASK IN THE BAMFNESS OF THE PONDS AND ENJOY WHAT WE HAVE LEFT OF THEM, OKAY? HATERS TO THE FUCKING LEFT. I DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH YOUR POND HATE RIGHT NOW. OR YOUR MOFFAT HATE.
I AM TOO EXCITED RIGHT NOW, YOU GUYS. I WANT THIS NOW.
Also, from the looks of things, it appears this series has gotten a slightly bigger budget. From what we've seen of the trailers that have come out, the production value has gone way up as opposed to the previous series. I approve.
