++ Also a brand new Avengers trailer appeared, making it look absolutely fan-frakking-tastically awesome, plus there are some new clips from The Hunger Games. I hadn't seen any from the latter, but from what I've seen of gifs and such it looks to be completely faithful to how it plays out in the book. Something I am definitely looking forward to seeing in the theaters.

++ Newer monsters to be introduced in Series 7 of Doctor Who, explains Steven Moffat. I quite agree with his reasoning too. It's good to have variety of big bads and nasties, especially when you consider what a vast universe as Doctor Who has, and quite frankly having old monsters returning time and time again does get rather dull and loses its touch. I mean, everyone remembers what happened when RTD brought back the Daleks ad nausem. Besides, Moffat has the ability to create things that SCARE THE BEEJEZUS out of us all, so when he says the newer monsters are better than the old ones I can believe it. O_o

++ Alex O'Loughlin takes a brief leave of absence from Hawaii Five-0. Hope he gets well soon. ♥

++ Want something interesting? According to these statistics, Ringer is considered the top rated CW series in Canadian ratings, followed by The Vampire Diaries and Nikita, all which surpass ATNM. This is quite a fascinating study on how the rating systems differ, but it brings to question whether Canadian ratings even be taken into account for deciding the fate of whether certain shows get renewed. My guess is probably not, hence why the American ratings system is fundamentally flawed and unfair. Le sigh.

I ALMOST PASSED OUT WATCHING THE NEW GOT TRAILER.

That was exactly the song I expected to hear in that trailer, when you mentioned F+tM. \o/

Seriously amazing. And I've just ordered my season 1 blue-ray.

The next few months are going to be so fandom heavy. Will have to find some time for real life somewhere in there.

Yes! More women. More Cersei and Cat. And Arya and Sansa. And Dany. And all the new women we'll get in season 2.

Yup, I"m pretty much all about the women in this show.

It's still on my queue of DVDs I need to get.

I'm not ready, I still have shows that I need to catch up on before the new stuff comes out. Real life? What is that? lol

The extras alone make it totally worth it. The blue-ray was only 35, and I have Amazon Prime. I had a bit of extra cash this month, so that is how I spent it. I can't wait too see how amazing it looks in blue-ray. I've only seen it on my computer so far. I know what I will be doing next weekend. Going to see John Carter and then having a GOT marathon.

Yes, real life doesn't exist. Except, I have school work to do and law school applications to finish. I'm way behind on some shows too, namely Revenge and Nikita. I figure that is what I will do over spring break.

My only gripe is I wish they would bring in some hope on GoT. I know George RR Martin isn't big on that, but it's just so bleak.

Well, bleak is a rather understatement considering what is going to be happening next, but I somewhat agree there could be some glimmer of hope, just so people aren't completely emotionally drained from watching the show. Even with some of my other darker shows, there had been moments of hope and for the possibility of a future.

Thanks for posting that info on Ringer's Canada ratings. If only they had impact on renewal.

I know. :/

You mean this show has other characters? xD

(I find the male characters interesting, but mostly as a foil for the female characters. Except maybe Renly, because he's just sassy and adorable)

GOOSEBUMPS ALL OVER. SHAKING, JOUSTING, FLAILING ETC. COME APRIL 1 MY EMOSHUNS WILL BE ALL OVER THE PLACE TBH.

I like to think they're using that scene of Sansa because anything else will be spoilery? Esp for non-book readers (that may be why we don't have footage of Asha Yara or Ygritte yet). BUT IT HURTS MY HEART AND MY HEAD. And oh Sansa my bb one day you'l have your revenge.

Game of Thrones is interesting to me in a way... I don't really even like it but I still end up watching. Needs more dragons! (I tried to give the books a chance once upon a time but gave up because everybody dying all the time gets dull and annoying.) Also, Jon Snow ;_; and the Wall, needs more of it. Maybe I relate to the Northern people more than anyone else in the show because I'm from a Northern country myself so freezing to death from time to time is nothing new lolol.

yay for new Doctor Who-monsters! Now if only there was a new, interesting plot as well and a good Companion. /snark
Not to mention there are like 46094604690 planets in the DW-universe, there're bound to be a million and one cool nasty things there 8)

I haven't read the ASOIAF series myself but I am very attracted to the show, I think it's because it fulfills my fantasy void in my fandoms, and of course with all the interesting characters. Granted I know what happens to them so it'll be interesting to watch as it unfolds on the show itself.

I heard a rumor that they are possibly thinking about bringing back some classic!Who monsters as well, so should be interesting and fun watching what the new series brings us!

It doesn't really fill my fantasy-void because the supernatural aspect of that show isn't so, uh, what's the word... visible? Like, fantasy as a genre to me isn't just about the politics or character drama or prancing around in pretty costumes, but also about cool monsters and DRAGONS (yessss) and and sword-fights and.. :C I wish I liked the characters more though, so far I can count like 5-6 characters I'm genuinely interested in. (most of them Starks, well)

Oh, that'd be great! *__* I just wish for the old goofiness to return, it hasn't been the Doctor Who I originally loved lately. Also: Daleks need to gtfo. I know they're his ~arch enemy~ or whatever but now they're just annoying. :(

Yeah, it's not like Legend of the Seeker-esque fantasy, but I'll take what I can get right now. But the dragons, omg I can't wait to see them this season. *_*

I just wish for the old goofiness to return, it hasn't been the Doctor Who I originally loved lately.

Hmmm, that's strange because I've always felt that it was because of Eleven that has been bringing back what Doctor Who has been kind of missing from the RTD era, which is the fairytale aspect and magic and wonder and wizardry of the world. There is definite goofiness from Eleven that Ten didn't have (less with the angst, more with the trickster magic and fun) Then again I have loved everything about Eleven's era and what Moffat has done to bring back who the Doctor is again. I can only hope he continues with it. Which I can't wait to see what he has in store, particularly with the setup of the First Question and what it all means.

While S5 was definitely all that (Vincent and the Doctor is still among the best DW-episodes ever made), S6 wasn't. Well, to me at least, you obviously see it differently. I just found a lot of the plot lines there ridiculous (in a bad way-- like for example I hate when pregnancy is used as any sort of a plot line and in this it was just.. guh) and it doesn't help I never grew to like the Ponds or River, Amy sometimes but that's just it. Eleven himself is all DW is about, funny and sad and old and young in the same body but even he can't save it if I don't care for the episodes he's in.

I'm sorry to hear that. :(

DW has been kind of my savior of fandoms, if you will. It's my happy place, especially Series 5 and 6 (which after reading metas makes more sense with how the show progressed to where it is right now) and just yeah. I love the Doctor (Eleven is ♥), the Ponds, River Song, and just al;sfld;afd. ♥ I'm sorry you don't feel the same way, but we all have our differences in preferences so, yeah.

Well, everyone can't like everything and unfortunately S6 didn't have many things that I found enjoyable. (like, my favourite episode from that is still the Doctor's Wife + the Christmas specials and others where it was just Eleven + random people) It was sort of back and forth good and bad for me. Heee, I'm sorry too because Doctor Who is just one of those things that has settled into my life and is there to stay and has made me a happier person and and that I love dearly and it disappointing me is, well, disappointing. Who knows, maybe S7 will pick up for me especially with the new Companion and all :3

After all, I doubt I'll ever stop being fascinated by the endless starry sky and the wonders the Doctor keeps showing us.
