There seems to be some talk about whether or not Madge will appear in the movie, seeing as how she's the one who gives Katniss the Mockingjay pin after the reaping and both her and the pin are significant in the later books, and in the trailer it appears that Katniss is giving the pin to Prim before the reaping happens. We can't really judge based on the trailer alone, they edit things to make it presentable and not really give too much away. From what we've seen so far, they've stuck really close to the book, at least in my opinion. I will be kind of disappointed if Madge doesn't make an appearance or if they can't work around the symbolic significance the Mockingjay pin represents, if they do intend on making a second and third film after this, mostly because I really want to see that relationship between Katniss and Madge presented on the screen and such. But again, we'll see how it goes.

Other than that, I just want to mention that I love that this is the second trailer we've seen that doesn't show anything of the actual Games itself or focusing on the so-called "romance" parts. It's essentially about Katniss, her devotion to her family, and her survival. As it should be.

AND CAN I MENTION THIS FOR A SECOND THOUGH? I MEAN SERIOUSLY.

EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM IS PERFECT OKAY. I HONESTLY ADORED THEIR RELATIONSHIP IN THE BOOK AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM INTERACTING ON THE SCREEN AND JUST THESE PICTURES HAVE MADE ME ALL EXCITED AND SHIT. AND WHILE I KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO HIM LATER I JUST AM LOVING EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM OKAY. JUST EVERYTHING. AND YEAH, I ADMIT, WITH THESE PICS I KINDA SORTA AM SLIGHTLY SHIPPING THEM A LITTLE BIT AND IDGAF . GALE WHO? PEETA WHO? FORGET EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE ELSE, IT'S ALL ABOUT THE CINNA AND KATNISS SPECIAL BOND AND RELATIONSHIP LIKE WHOA. ♥ ♥ ♥

I haven't heard or read any casting for Madge, so I don't think she'll be in it. I could be wrong, though.

I am very pleased with the casting of Cinna. Like, I wouldn't have pegged Lenny Kravitz but from what we've seen of him in the trailers and interviews I can already tell he's going to be fantastic. ♥

I was sure I heard ages and ages ago made wouldn't be in it, but I think that was an original script rumour or something and I've heard nothing about it since.

But yeah, they've already signed up for three more films, so who knows. Mockingbird is being split into two.

I LOVED THEM IN THE BOOKS BUT SEEING THESE NEWLY RELEASED PICTURES AND THE TRAILERS JUST MAKES MY HEART GO SQUEE. I LAHV THEM SFM. ♥ ♥ ♥

It makes me sad that Madge won't be in the films, because not only would it have remained close to canon, but it would have given us a chance to see Katniss interacting with another girl (besides her sister.) Of course this could be changed, like they could just mention Madge by name in the film but never show her, and if they do continue might just cast her after? idk....

I'm relatively sure the trailer shows Katniss giving the pin to Prim and then Prim giving it back to Katniss as her token. I'm also pretty sure Madge won't be in it, because they had to make trade offs to make the movie work and it was easier/more cost effective/whatever to cut Madge. (Although I hope I'm wrong.)

As for future movies, there have been several articles/interviews over the past few months that said if the first movie does well, then there will be a total of four movies. Since then, I've heard (sadly, I don't know where, although it was probably at themockingjay) that they're already working on the script for the second movie. (FIIIIIINNIIIIIIICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

And Katniss/Cinna? Yes, please. :)

Possibly. Although I'm hoping if they plan on making more films after this that they won't cut her out completely. Like, they could just mention her by name in this one and then have her later for Catching Fire and Mockingjay. Either way, I just hope that the significance of the Mockingjay pin won't be tarnished if they decide to not include her entirely.

Never mind I found the relationship between Katniss and Madge very interesting, and would have loved to see that interaction on the big screen.
