I received your Christmas card lynnylou, thank you. I also got yours too, xlamentcasx! Your homemade card and message was adorable, made me smile and laugh. ♥

I have yet to send out my cards, which I feel horrible about but things have been quite hectic for me with organizing and getting things prepared and dealing with the crazy holiday madness that I haven't had the time to properly sit down and write in the cards. I'm hoping to do so today and get them sent by tomorrow. I have no idea when they'll be arriving to you guys, might be on or past Christmas.

And the list just keeps on growing so, any fandom that you know I have participated in, or any kind of fandom-related subject at all (ex. fanfic, conventions, etc), feel free to ask and I'll definitely give you my unpopular opinions about it. ;)

Compared to season one, season two wasn't the greatest as it could have been. I felt they introduced a whole lot of new things but didn't really elaborate or get deeper into the mythology as they should have. It just felt too cluttered without any proper resolution in the end. S1 had more structure to the seasonal arc and with the characters and less of the complicated web of things.

I get annoyed when people start watching season two first only for Jensen Ackles as Alec and end up hating on Max/Jessica Alba for ridiculous reasons.

I consider Max and Alec more sibling-esque than shipping material.

I really liked the dynamic of Max/Logan, but my ultimate OTP was Max/Zack. I just felt there was something there that they hinted at, and even commented on within the show very briefly, but I wished it could have been touched on more.

1. I agree that Season 1 was more solid and they really needed a Season 3 to resolve everything they set up in Season 2.

Yep, and I never understood why the show was canceled so suddenly after a good first season run. Perhaps it was because of how cluttered they had become that the ratings were dropping, or even movie issues due to how much they were doing at the same time. I don't know, but yeah, if nothing else they could have done like a telemovie to wrap things up.

I always felt we didn't get enough of the X5s, to be honest. I felt that S2 should have focused more on them reuniting instead of handling the other transgenic experiments which became too weird scifi for my tastes. Like, I understood what they were trying to do, the experiments gone wrong being held in the basement and getting loose into the world, but to be honest I felt like the X5s and the war on Manticore should have been more, you know? Like, the relationship of Max and Zack should have been further explored, Max's search for her birth mother, all of that.

I would have preferred a second season of all of that, introduce some themes about Max being special and whatnot, and then for a third season introduce all the transgenic experiments.
