MOVIES, SPN SPOILERS, CASPLOCK OF OMFG!
Apr. 15th, 2011 11:34 pmSCREAM 4 WAS FUCKING FANTASTIC. Seriously, even after ten years the franchise still remains fresh and innovative with their rules by fitting in with the new generation while still staying true to the original material. The audience I was in was nearly packed and they were all revved up, laughing and gasping (and even yelling out hilarious things) at the appropriate times. It's just awesome, I think every Scream fan will love and appreciate the film, guaranteed. Oh, and perfect moment of the night? As I was walking out there were two guys that had the Ghostface masks on walking into the theater. I don't know why, but I found that kind of awesome as well, like I felt the love for the entire franchise from the people there.
Earlier today I also went to see Hanna, which it was also great as well. It's very unique in a sort of Run Lola, Run kinda way, mixed in with Francine Pascal's Fearless series. I'll make proper reviews for both films later, along with Sucker Punch which I'll be seeing again tomorrow.
Then I came home, and this happened:
EP 6.19

CASTIEL LOOKING LIKE HE'S A KID WITH ADHD WHO CONSTANTLY GETS DISTRACTED BY SHINY THINGS THAT AREN'T PART OF THE CONVERSATION HAPPENING AT THE TABLE, LOL
EP 6.20

WHY SO SMILEY CAS?

LOOK IN THE BACKGROUND. CREEPER!CAS IS BACK, Y'ALL....

IS CASTIEL IN THE HOLY FIRE CIRCLE? THEY TRAPPED HIM IN HOLY FIRE?! D: D: D: I MEAN JESUS CHRIST, I KNEW IN THE DESCRIPTION THAT BOBBY WASN'T BELIEVING THAT CAS WAS TELLING THE ENTIRE TRUTH, BUT DAMN. O_o CAS LOOKS BETWEEN BEING PISSED AND BEING SAD AT THE SAME TIME.

DEAN'S EXPRESSION, DEAN'S FUCKING EXPRESSION YOU GUYS! LIKE FUCKING HELL. HE'S LIKE PLEADING THAT CASTIEL ISN'T LYING TO THEM, THAT HE ISN'T HIDING SOMETHING, PLEADING TO EVERYTHING BETWEEN THEM THAT HE ISN'T GOING TO BE BETRAYED BY HISBOYFRIEND, HIS COMPANION. JUST EVERYTHING IN THESE STILLS MAKES ME D: AND ;___; AT THE SAME TIME.

SERIOUSLY BOYS. YOU'RE GONNA BREAK MY FUCKING HEART SO BADLY.
;_________;
It seems like Supernatural wasn't the trainwreck we were all expecting it to be? At least from the reactions I've read so far, it seemed to be somewhat decent and watchable. Perhaps I'll download it to see, but I'm in no rush tbh. Unless someone wants to give me all the (Dean/)Castiel moments the episode had, including Balthazar of course. ;)

Date: 2011-04-16 09:09 pm (UTC)The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the end. But I guess I should be used to my favourites ALWAYS getting offed. :(
And I.. I didn't get what purpose did it serve that Baby got lobotomized, after all. It just made me "D:" all around. Not that the other three dying didn't make me "D:".. ugh.I dunno where that love scene was supposed to take place, hmm.

Here's my my take on this: the fifth and final thing she needed to complete was realizing what huge sacrifice she was making that would give a huge reward. By staying at the institution she allowed Sweet Pea to escape, and at the same time the guy Blue was caught and taken away to prevent future mistreatment of the girls at the asylum. It's a bittersweet ending because we all were rooting for Babydoll to be released and escape, but I think it makes sense that the only way for her to escape is to stay within her own mind because of all the hurt and the pain that the real world is to her.
Also, regarding the other girls, there are speculations that Blondie and Amber weren't really killed off in reality. They were featured in the two alternate fantasy realities which do have parallels to the mental institution reality, however not everything that happened in there really happened. Some think that Babydoll never really conversed with the girls in real life, but instead made that personal connection with Sweat Pea -- as seen in the beginning. So I'm thinking that in the brothel reality them getting "killed" was a parallel to them getting lobotomized.
I dunno where that love scene was supposed to take place, hmm.
It was supposed to parallel her lobotomy, so had it been in the film we would have seen the montage of her consenting to the High Roller, who in the reality was the surgeon who performed the lobotomy on her, and by doing so the High Roller promised that by willing giving herself to him that would free her from Blue. Which makes sense considering how he reacted after he did the task of "did you see the way she's looking at me?" So, yeah, there you go.

Date: 2011-04-16 09:55 pm (UTC)I mean, I kinda get it but then again, it felt a bit.. how should I say, strange to me. Like, it's all about freeing yourself and getting out of reality's prison but she gets lobotomized.
but I think it makes sense that the only way for her to escape is to stay within her own mind because of all the hurt and the pain that the real world is to her. That definitely makes sense. After all, the real world offered pretty much nothing good to her.
Yeah, I like that that they left it kind of open- the connections between all the different realities and that they didn't exactly show Amber and Blondie getting killed in reality. :( That's a .. sad idea. Lobotomizing gives me the creeps.
Ohh, I get it, that makes sense. I liked the High Roller/surgeon-guy. :D/
