Day 28 - Your favorite season finale

1.22 "Devil's Trap"

I don't think a season finale has ever compared to what the the first season did in terms of cliffhanger endings. Although I wasn't involved with the show during this time, I remember people talking about it, about how they couldn't end it like that, that the show had to be picked up for another season to make sure everyone was okay. It definitely gave people something to talk about. Also, in terms of story, it fit with the theme of the first season, of the familial bond between the brothers and their father, of saving their father, of being a family again.

Runner up: 2.22 "All Hell Breaks Loose, Part 2" since it gave a full-circle ending to everything we dealt with over the first two seasons, with avenging their mother's death (and for Sam, avenging Jessica's death). I consider S1 and S2 to be connected together with giving that closure to that aspect of the story.

Can I just say that I am loving fandom right now? The cracky gifs, the discussions of the meta episode, theorizing the alternate universe, and right now I am having Dean/Misha, Dean/Castiel/Balthazar and Misha/BAMF!Castiel plotbunnies in my head. EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL AND NOTHING HURTS. ♥

There's no new episode next Friday, right? Or for the rest of the month since it'll be March Madness?

Hi. My order would be exactly reversed: 2.22 and then 1.22 (followed by 4.22, 3.22, then 5.22).

Ha, yes, the fandom is awesome. Although there's been quite a bit of haters that have been bugging me. It wasn't my favorite episode, but I wish people would stop acting like everyone has to agree with them when they dislike something. Can't we all like and dislike what we want in peace?

Also, I'd totally read Dean/Cas/Bal if you wrote it, even though angelcest usually squicks me. I read a Dean/Misha fic today. Wasn't to my taste in terms of kink, but I love the idea.

What have people been bitching about? I've heard nothing but either praise or people just laughing because it was that hilarious that they can't form a proper opinion. Just, "lol oh show" kind of reactions. I don't necessarily see where there could possibly be hate (unless they're tinhatters).

The only angelcest I support would be Castiel/Balthazar at this point, tbh.

Some people really, really hate meta and think it ruins the show. Some people only watched the mytharc parts of the episode because of an "embarassment squick" that made them incapable of even watching the alternate universe stuff. And there was one post by a person who said that "true fans" don't like the direction the show is taking.

Dean would still probably have to be in the mdidle for me. Because angels are brothers on the show, and I just can't really get past the incest thing. But I could totally do it in a threesome where it was mostly the two of them doing Dean.

Season 1 is my favorite season finale too. I've been with SPN since the beginning and I remember standing uP, jumping up and down, and yelling at the TV after the episode ended. And then telling everyone I saw for the next week that the Impala couldn't die.

Waiting for word on SPN being picked up...that was the worst wait for a renewal EVER!

That was seriously the best cliffhanger for a finale, with them in the Impala and then suddenly them getting impaled by the fast-ongoing truck running them down. The most interesting factor is how "Bad Moon Rising" is playing, an upbeat kind of tune, while the Winchesters are unconscious and bleeding until the screen goes black. What a way of enticing people to want more from the show. Very clever, and it saddens me that the show hasn't done anything like that since.

I personally like 2x22 best, with 1x22 being runner up. But, god, I remember the anxiety when we didn't know if the show was going to get picked up after season 1, and how I thought that it couldn't possibly end like this. I was a mess.

Devil's Trap is such a flawless episode ♥___♥ (Imagine the FFFFUUUU if it had been a series-finale, because DAYUM that's one epic cliffhanger) It's my favourite finale as well, although No Rest For The Wicked comes quite close too.

Dean/Misha is such a beautiful pairing... and I like the sound of Dean/Cas/Balthazar as well :Dd

I LOVED THE META-EPISODE. LOVED IT. Praise to his Majesty Ben Edlund. The next episode sounded boring at first, but the promo makes it seem like it's actually gonna be creepy so I'm intrigued.. ALSO BOBBY & RUFUS YAY ♥

I know right? And I'm not entirely sure how well the show did when it first premiered, ratings-wise, so it must have been tedious had people been worried whether or not it was gonna come back. Some shows have done the "shocking cliffhanger" but never got picked up and that's all people would ever get.

WASN'T THE META EPISODE THE BEST EVER? I just cannot believe the mindfucking that went on there, so many things I cannot comprehend and yet can at the same time. It's weird, but glorious. :D :D :D And really, while all the confusion was happening I managed to see how Dean was reacting to "Misha" and vice versa....so may stolen glances here and there. Dean just staring and "Misha" just glancing at him, lol. I LOVE THE SUBTLY OF IT SO MUCH. XD

BOBBY AND RUFUS!! Although I can already predict what will happen which, boo. :( But nonetheless, I want the Bobby and Rufus show! \O/

IT WAS OH MY GOD I've always liked the meta-episodes but this was the best. Hahaha Dean/Misha is a new, interesting ship, now I want fic.
I still laugh at how everyone on the crew got killed, except for that BAMF who dodged Virgil's bullet. So awesome.

Sadly, I can too. :( But at least we'll see more of the Grumpy Old Men-show before that.
