Date: 2011-02-04 03:20 am (UTC)It really was. Hell, the majority of what happened in the last half of the fifth season seemed incredibly rushed and last-minute decisions. Which is where the show started going downhill for me, they had no clear direction and I'm still not entirely sure why that is.
I mean, Lisa was fine in the first 99% of 3x02, but I reallly can't help but think that the whole "Dean dreaming of Lisa" thing was more Sera Gamble wanting them to be ~true love~ or something rather than something more logical like "Dean wants a family".
You know, I absolutely agree with you on this point. Sera Gamble likes trying to pull the "oh it was ~love~" bullshit card out from her ass just to add that romantic conflict, but it rarely works. She hasn't learned her lesson and the fact that she was placed as showrunner worried me from the beginning because I knew she was gonna pull some asshole stunt like this. And it happened, unfortunately. THAT SHIT DON'T WORK ON A SHOW LIKE SUPERNATURAL GAMBLE. LEAVE YOUR STEPHANIE MEYER-WANNABE NOTIONS OUT FROM THE STORY AND JUST GTFO ALREADY, JFC.
