The article itself has more interesting tidbits from his interview and Richard being all around awesome, particularly with being shocked at how we, the fans, responded to his character and ironically becoming an outside influence for getting more work. Though unfortunately, it seems like Richard is implying that he hasn't been asked back onto the show. This makes me wonder if they (the Show, the writers) were lying through their teeth when they made the optimistic promise of getting Gabriel back onto the show this season. :(

when did they say something like that? i've only read in a sera gamble interview that they'd be glad to have gabriel/etcetc back on the show, but not that it was actually a real possibility.

It was months ago like, before the season started, and it was from one of the writers who mentioned that they were working on a way of getting Gabriel back into the show somehow. Just the way it was implied was that they were definitely in the talks about bringing his character back into the story. Now it seems like they haven't yet, and it's like what, midway into the season? Plus this show is all about bringing people back from the dead, this season in particular, so why the hell not?

I love how into the fandom the SPN actors are. Even when the fandom is wierd/obnoxious, they go out of their way to accomidate us and let us have our fun.

Yes, Misha is epically awesome. I think he enjoys it. He's quirky and he enjoys having fun with people. Most of the other actors are like that too, but not to the same extent as Misha.

I find it amusing that Misha is so different from the character he plays. It shows what a good actor he is.

Misha has an odd fixation on the entire fandom phenomenon, he pretty much actively endorses the kind of whacked-out quirkiness that happens. I mean, his Twitter and everything? That he loves mentioning slashfic everywhere he goes? Love him to death. ♥ And you're right, it fits perfectly with his entire personality. He plays with us and we play right along with him. It's fun and I love it.

Misha is such a chameleon when he performs, it's awesome. :)

I remember that and I glad I wasn't holding my breath either. Honestly, the spoilers for this show have been so misleading. Just a tease with no actual payoff.

This season in particular, it's like they're continuing trying to use this technique so we would continue to watch the show even if they don't deliver. Like, "back to basics"? Where in the world is that this season as they so-claimed it would be? :/

I know. ;__; I kinda hate it, but despite that I still have a sliver of hope that they might work something out, because hey, they're bringing back characters we thought were long-gone so. Anything is possible. Not that I'm holding my breath or anything, but you know. *sigh*

But on the other hand, I would kind of hate for them to bring him back just to fuck up his character as this season is doing oh so well with everyone else, so even if wanting him back I think it would be best on letting his character's sacrifice in the end be worth something than meaninglessly bringing him back just because, you know what I mean? It hurts, but he went out heroically and I choose to have that then allowing them to mess with his characterization.

I don't believe so, not anymore. :/ Unless God has His hands on it or they find the Purgatory or whatever. (Since Death obviously is not gonna bring anyone back anymore, he seemed to very pissed.)

Or unless there's like a hallucination or dream sequence or something like that, like how they brought back the YED for the premiere of this season, for example. Otherwise yeah, if God isn't doing the deed Himself then I can't see another plausible way of bringing him back for real. :(

Especially since with other actors you get the feeling that they either aren't interested in knowing those kinds of things or would be disgusted, and thus we feel second-hand embarrassment whenever it gets brought up. Misha and Richard I think are very tuned into the subculture of fandom and our activities, so to speak, and are willing to endorse and be open-minded to it all. I love that. :D

I love how shocked everyone was about the attention he got in the Pepsi commercials. WE'RE STALKING YOU, RICHARD. And he seemed to think that since he was off the show, everyone would forget about him quickly. Richard, bb, you have no idea.

I know. I mean, there's a definite difference between how he didn't let anything slip about his death scene when he was at that convention (or let anything slip about whether Gabriel would be in episodes after that or not, when all we knew was that there was a Gabriel ep coming up), a definite difference between that and the comments he's made since. There's not much of an "I don't know, not talking one way or the other" feeling about it, but a "no" feeling about it.

Besides SPN, I've seen this guy in several things. Mainly in a bunch of commercials. I always get giddy when I see him. :)
