Day 13 - A scene that makes you sad/cry

Gabriel's death scene.

I bawled like a fucking baby when this happened, like for real. It's funny because I never really had this kind of emotion come over me with this show before. Sure, I've had that sad feeling with some scenes like you do, but when it comes to letting loose the waterworks and being so depressed afterwards? This scene fucking did it. The thing is, I knew something bad was gonna happen as the scene between Gabriel and Lucifer dragged on. I dreaded whatever was gonna happen, and when it finally did, and I was like... D: D: D: D: NOOOOOOO!!!!

Then during the commercial break I was breaking down. My heart hurt long after that. Still does. This episode I just, I can't. ;____;

I MISS MY BB GABRIEL. MY CREYS, THEY ARE FOR YOU BB. RISE FROM THE ASHES, I AM BEGGING YOU PLZ. :(

Gabriel's death scene, seriously ,___, I start to get weepy the very instant when Lucifer starts to look sad and is all "Brother, don't make me do this" and then he does it and Gabriel looks so shocked and hurt and ashflakhfsgd

Dammit, just when I thought I'm over his death. Please bring Gabester back, show, please. ;_;

WHEN THEY WERE GETTING EMOTIONAL DURING THEIR CONFRONTATION, I WAS LIKE OH NO. D: AND THEN GABRIEL GOT TEARY-EYED AND EVEN LUCIFER HAD THAT LOOK OF SORROW FOR DOING THAT TO HIS OWN BROTHER I JUST...MY GOD. I HATE THE SHOW FOR DOING THAT BUT DAMMIT, THOSE TWO SOLD THAT SCENE INCREDIBLY WELL. GODDAMN MY EMOTIONS THEN. CREYS. :( :( :(

MTE it was very top-notch acting from both Mark and Richard and ugh, I get sad just thinking about it ;~; showww why did you take Gabriel from us.

Plus, they took him away right after revealing his true identity to us. People liked the Trickster from before, but once they revealed he was actually the archangel Gabriel everyone practically fell in love with him. With good reason, but that adds more depth to his character and we wanted more. But then they do something like this?? RIP OUT MY HEART AND SHRED IT MOAR SHOW, GOD. :(

Exactly!! I know his death wasn't completely pointless or anything but I still didn't want him to die. :,C Seriously, I want him to return. In some form though Richard Speight Jr is preferred.

I'm pretty much Richard wouldn't have a problem with returning whatsoever. He adores the show and the character, he's said so many times. I'm sure they can work something out...right?

I didn't cry, but I was just OUT OF IT. Rage, despair, disbelief, anger, HOW COULD THEY ETC. I was depressed every time I thought about it for days afterward. That sounds so pathetic. But I just couldn't believe that he was dead. It's like--I never considered that it could even happen.

I was just a wreck after watching that episode, just a mixture of emotions. It was like I was going through the stages of grief all at once. I was bawling and feeling depressed to being outright enraged at the show for doing something like that to just being in complete denial. And I still am, to be honest, because the show PROMISED THE POSSIBILITY OF GABRIEL AGAIN THIS SEASON AND WE HAVE YET TO SEE HIM! FUCKERS.

I know, I never ever considered that to happen either because I felt the reveal of his true identity meant something. Surely he redeemed himself through his actions and stood up to Lucifer, but I never expected it to do down like that and so quickly after his reveal, you know? D:

For some reason, I hardly cried during that scene. I'm not sure if that was because I was so shocked - even though I did see it coming - or because I was so damn proud of Gabriel.
I always found it easier to accept the death of a beloved character when I felt it meant something.

I still miss him like hell. :(

It was incredibly brave and courageous of him to do what he did, and I was also proud of him for growing in that moment and siding with the humans. I think it's just really upsetting since we just got ourselves attached to his character for who he really is, and then suddenly they killed him off, whether it meant something or not. Even if it was a necessary death, I felt there could have been more to it than just that.

I guess I felt that we already got more that I'd expect the show to give us with a character who has only been in a few episodes - even though it feels like Gabriel has been on our screens a lot more. Only four episodes, and we knew him as Gabriel only a little more than one of them, can you believe that? He feels like such a big part of the show.

Isn't that odd? It does feel like Gabriel has been more part of the show than he really has been, and I don't know if that is supposed to be a good thing that we've become so attached to his character to have that perception or a bad thing that they underused him and wasted amazing opportunities of giving his character more awesome background. Like seriously, just a few more episodes in between finding out he is actually Gabriel would have been nice, ya know?

Yeah, even though I knew it was coming I choked up during that scene. The whole scene and the way they played it. The way they gave us something awesome and then took it away. Cruel show, cruel.

Richard and Marksha played it beautifully with so much chemistry and tension between Gabriel and Lucifer, and I loved seeing that and knowing that they had history together just with that scene they had alone. But still, even with this show's track record of killing off awesome supporting characters, I was a mess after the episode ended. :(
