The Book Meme
May. 26th, 2005 05:54 pmBook Meme stolen from, well, practically everywhere. Because boredom has corrupted this hour before going out for dinner and there's nothing to do in between the time that I've been given.
1. Total number of books I own:
That really depends on which pile of books you're specifically speaking of. There's numerous kinds within this household -- past childhood books, the ones that are stored inside boxes and hidden in the shed, and there are those inside cabinets to save space, and then there are those on the bookshelves. And yes, pluralizing is needed. So taking an estimated guess here....probably gazillions of them. So scientifically, that's over 2,000+ of books.
2. Last book I bought:
Ruby by V.C. Andrews, my starting point at reading the Landry series by which, from what I've heard, is wonderfully constructed with the plot and stoylines. Had I recently just finished it, and I'd have to say that they're correct. Although the ending of the first book isn't conclusive with the problematic situations Ruby is being involved in, it certainly has left a cliffhanger for me to buy the second addition of the saga (which I'm going to this weekend, hopefully, at Borders).
3. Last book I read:
One Door Away From Heaven by Dean Koontz -- still in the midst of finishing that one up, though.
4. 5 books that mean a lot to me:
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling
Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews
My Sweet Audrina by V.C. Andrews (yes, I'm a big fan of her works)
Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey
The Cement Garden by Ian McEwan
5. Tag 5 people and have them fill this out:
keykook16,
