I've been meaning to pimp this out, and perhaps some other things too, but this mini-essay/manifesto written by emerald_embers is a fantastic piece of meta which sums up why I pretty much love and adore Dean/Castiel so much. They capture the exact points in such a concise manner of their relationship in a nutshell as presented on the show, how much it's progressed overtime and how it remains strong and why their bond is so important and essential to both their characters and their journeys and why they need each other, because, in my view, they honestly really do complete one another, they just meld together so perfectly that it's just so right. And just, um, yeah. So much love for these two, I don't think I've fallen for a pairing like Dean/Castiel. I've had OTPs before but none which reach the level of emotional attachment like I have with them, I swear.

THIS IS BROUGHT ON BY THE FACT THAT I WANT THE SHOW TO COME BACK AND FOR THERE TO BE MORE EYEFUCKING BETWEEN THESE TWO AND PERHAPS REAL FUCKING PLZ KRIPKE. AND THIS IS ALSO AN EXCUSE TO USE THIS GIF BECAUSE, WELL, LOOKIT THEM BEING ALL CUTE AND ADORABLE AND BEING TOO PRESH FOR THEIR OWN GOOD, IT MAKES MY HEART SWELL WITH GLEE EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY ARE TOGETHER. FOR REALSIES.

True that. :) Dean/Castiel is the strongest pairing I've had in a long while in any of my fandoms. It's all about the UST, the UST and that connection and chemistry and just, ugh, everything about these two makes me squee. That mini-essay linked in the post pretty much goes into detail about why they are so much love, and I agree with it all. Especially regarding their growing bond of friendship over the seasons, because that is just the heart of everything between them. ♥ ♥

It's biased of me to want to have more Castiel the moment we return. ;p
