++ HAPPY SUPERNATURAL DAY, EVERYONE! Are they going for a hiatus after this, if I'm hearing correctly? I know some shows are being preempted for like baseball games and whatnot, but as far as with the CW I don't know. Anyone know?

++ What is up with Stargate Universe getting all this promotion? I mean, new show sure that's all fine and great in getting the word out, but was there this kind of heavy promotion for the other Stargate shows? Somehow I feel like they're milking it wayyy too much. I mean, where was this promotion and advertisement for Battlestar Galactica, or for Dollhouse or even Supernatural? Right now I'm getting so sick of seeing all this SGU floating around. We need this kind of advertisement for shows like SPN where it hardly gets that kind of media recognition. Just saying.

++ Heroes is made of major fail. But what else is new, right? I just can't believe they would have the audacity to do something like that to anyone, actor or not. That's just cold and low. *shakes head*

Unfortunately, Universe has in its favor being part of the major Stargate franchise. Even those who don't like it are likely to stick around in the hope of it improving, given their past loyalty to the franchise.

It's kinda crazy. I mean, yeah I understand that, being part of a franchise and staying loyal to it and all of that (and being a Whedon fan and staying with all his projects, I have no room to complain about that stuff) but somehow I feel like this is milking the entire "new and mature" feel way too much. I don't know. I'm not with this franchise so I really have no say with any of that. But I've been hearing not-so-positive things about it, including the epic fails, so idk. Somehow it's trying to become the SG version of BSG which, yeah, we all know that's never gonna happen.

Yeah, I remember a blurb about that and everything. Ugh. You'd think these people would have the courtesy of telling the actors these things, but apparently the actors are the last to hear about what is happening. But it still doesn't excuse for what they did here. It makes you feel like the business is not secure enough, and being in that business you want to be ensured about what you're getting into and that nothing like this happens. :/

Hmm, you know that would seem right, since they also had a huge cast and you knew that at least a few were going to kick it. But even if that's correct and it was kept to being a surprise they were told from the beginning, whoever's getting killed off on Heroes has been a regular since the beginning and I'm fairly certain they had no knowledge of their supposed demise from the show. It really is sucky how it's being dealt with.

I'm so confused, because with the "Soon" promo they aired last week you'd think they would be taking like a few weeks off before returning like they usually do, but somehow that is not the case. Gah ppl, stop teasing us! lol

I'm actually kinda glad I gave up the show, too. With this I'm hoping it will be their last season, because it's so obvious that Kring is just pulling shit from his ass with no clear direction on where he's going with it. :/ I love Sendhil but I think it would be a blessing if he left the show because they have butchered his character so much and he deserves better than that.

If there's two things I hate, it's either lacking in promotion or overpromoting something. I don't mind a new show getting promoted and acknowledged, but somehow all the SGU stuff is making seem like it's OMG THE NEWEST BESTEST SHIT EVER YOU BETTER WHAT IT BECAUSE IT IS ALL NEW AND SHINY! and it's working my last nerve.

Especially since they're making it out to be "sexy" and "more mature" than the other SG shows, which I find ridiculous.

Heh, I hardly pay attention to Heroes anymore, in fact I'm hoping this will be its last season since I see it going nowhere fast. But this news about the treatment of actors, or anyone in fact, ticked me off. You'd think there would be some consideration, but the business is fickle already it shouldn't be a surprise.

Gah, I have far too many shows to catch up on. I still am beyond on Glee and I'm catching up on Castle. But new SPN tonight so, yay! And Bones too! :D

I have no idea what is even happening in the show, all I'm following is the discussion about Sendhil and the cast. I really hate how they treated this certain actor but like you, I'm not too surprised. I just want to know who it was.

I adore every single member of the BSG cast. They loved the show so much and just reading interviews and what they have to say about it, you know that they loved working on the show and it's just...it's that warm feeling you get, you know? It's the same with the Firefly cast, even years after its cancellation they still are in love with it and the fans. And to have these amazing, talented and phenomenal actors together, is just awesome.

Yeah, it really does get incredibly shitty in season three. And I speak as someone who used to be a really big fan of the show, from the third season premiere I knew something wasn't right from the start. It just went downhill fast and just, ugh. It's distressing that I used to really love and enjoy the show only to have such a huge backlash. They said it's getting better, but I somehow doubt that. This actor shit they're pulling doesn't help matters either.

Oh, Maxim...don't ever change...Seriously though, what is it with the airbrushing obsession?! Both Trish & Grace are GORGEOUS. Just leave 'em alone! The pics were...okay. Not really my thing, though I love both women (I tend to find it sexier when more is left to the imagination). Did kinda make me wish Katee and Kandyse and Mary and all the other gorgeous BSG women were there :D A mini HOT women of Galactica reunion:)!

Is excited about Supernatural and now feels better that I never got into Heroes.

And SGU...I'm meh about the promotion. While I wish other shows got the kind of promotion SGU is getting, it doesn't really surprise me. After losing BSG, the network needs a 'serious' series with decent ratings. I imagine they'll over-promote Caprica next year, as well.

I agree about the airbrushing. They're naturally gorgeous women for goodness sakes, they don't need the artificial touchups. Don't fix something that doesn't need to be fixed, for crying out loud. But yeah, I do kinda wished they had ALL the ladies from BSG. It would've been amazing.

It's sad for me because I used to be a fan of Heroes, and that's the one feeling you don't want to have is looking back and going "awww, the show used to be so good, what happened?"

The thing that irritates me is the fact that SGU is filling in for BSG. It's trying to fill that void of serious drama with mature themes that BSG accomplished so well in. But the thing is, with the SG shows that's not how they role at all. They don't take themselves seriously, it's a pretty lighthearted atmosphere for them with all the craziness and such, it's just not that kind of show. Now I understand that this is an extension to the franchise, but they're making it super serious that it's just looking really, horribly bad. It is not with the continuity of the other two shows at all and that's my biggest issue.

Besides, nothing can replace what Ron D. Moore did with BSG. Nobody can try to recreate that same atmosphere that he did. The only thing that'll come close is Caprica, because that is also an extension of the BSG universe just sans the space battles (which I am looking forward to watching).

To me Heroes ended officially at season two and from that point I create my own canon. Like Monica and Micah teaming up to help the people of New Orleans

I'm the same. Seasons one and two were amazing, but three and onwards just, no. It's as though the show had forgotten it's own canon from its lack of continuity and forgetting about certain characters who were pretty damn vital. I like your own created canon, since I have similar ideas with other characters teaming up with each other, and yes, Claire actually doing something productive (although it's being said that she's being more productive this season, and I would love that if they didn't have the blatant lesbianism added to it). Just, making continuity and STAYING WITH IT WITHOUT RETCONNING. Which Heroes has done plenty of times.

The show started off with so much potential. It was shiny and new and the concept could have gone into very interesting places, but then it sunk into places where I was like, um what? Show, what happened to you? :( It really is unfortunate for whoever the actor is, and once we found out who I'll be even more pissed. Nobody deserves to be treated like that.

For me, Heroes lost its touch after S2. S3 just ruined everything about why I used to love the show in the first place. It's dead to me for all I care. I honestly think that this will be it's last season. I see no future beyond what they're failing at doing, so yeah. I would suggest not buying the DVD set unless you actually watched it, otherwise it would be a waste of money.
