Firstly, I finally got around to watching Glee. OMG IT'S THE CUTEST LITTLE SHOW EVER! It's corky and hilarious and adorable and I love Rachel's wardrobe and her perfectionism which kind of reminds me of me academically in with my dancing, of course, but not that over-the-top, but still adorable. And it has Jayma Mays! And other actors I know of! And singing, and dancing, it's the Little Glee Club That Could! :D The show has this mix of it being a combination of Popular and High School Musical, and I love it. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT WITH EVERYONE ELSE FOR A NEW EPISODE, GAH!

Secondly, it appears that Virtuality tanked its ratings during its premiere, making it a slim to none chance it'll be renewed. It aired on Friday night on FOX, see the problem there? There's still minor hope that RDM can possibly pitch it to SciFi as some are suggesting via campaigning and all the critic reviews, but we'll see.

Thirdly, OMG BOA WAS IN SAN FRANCISCO PERFORMING FOR THE GAY PRIDE PARADE YESTERDAY?!? I COULD HAVE DRIVEN DOWN THERE TO SEE HER! WHY DOESN'T ANYONE EVER NOTIFY ME OF THESE THINGS?! I MISS OUT OF MISHA IN THE LA CON AND NOW I MISSED THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE BOA BEING FIERCE LIVE! UNIVERSE, YOU HAS SOME S'PLAINING TO DO! It is amazing and cute that people were singing along, though. BoA is really stepping up with her promoting here, and it's like totally amazing watching that. Same with the Wonder Girls as they gave their first opening performance for the Jonas Brothers recently. I'm so nervous for them gaining popularity, yet it's like being a mama watching their baby go out into the world. Corny, I know, but still!

I never even heard of Virtuality until I heard about how bad it did ratings wise. I figured it did bad because apparently it premiered right after the news of Michael Jackson came out, there were tons of shows having to do with his life story.

Yay, someone else who lives under a rock lol.

I figured as much, even though FOX has its ways of having certain shows be on the death slot of Fridays, nobody anticipated the devastation of Michael Jackson's death. The setback for the two-hour pilot was caused because of how much people weren't interested in watching a new show and more about this news. I'm hoping the network takes that into consideration, but being FOX I doubt they will.

If you get a chance, you should check out the pilot. I'd say it's worth looking at. :)

No one could have guessed that, it was pretty sad news. I'm shocked I didn't end up watching it since I was busy looking through all the channels trying to find something good on that wasn't Michael Jackson news coverage. Now that I'm thinking about it, I didn't even look at fox because I figured it was covering it to since all the main channels were. I was shocked to see that MTV was playing music videos, I was like holy crap, they're playing music vidoes! lol.

Guuurl, if you have a twitter you should follow her on there: http://twitter.com/boa_usa

Tho I'm not a huge fan of the WG, I hope they do well, open up a few more doors for Korean/Asian artist to come on over. not to mention, so 2PM can get their behinds over here lol

Downloading communities I'm apart of. Of course it's available on Hulu (and I think on FOX.com?), if you're able to view it.

I love the Wonder Girls, and even though I was loling at the thought of them touring with the Jonas Brothers it definitely has opened the doors for a lot more Asian artists to make their debuts here. BoA's doing it as are they, and I think Rain's been kind of on that bandwagon for a while now when he's not being verbal-sexually harassed by Megan Fox *shudders*. But I REALLY REALLY want Namie Amuro to debut here, at least come to the States for touring. :D

Ooh I'll try there :) Thanks!

and I think Rain's been kind of on that bandwagon for a while now when he's not being verbal-sexually harassed by Megan Fox *shudders*.

LOL. I still think she's only all over him to get Korea on her good side for promo-ing Transformers. XD Hopefully, his movie Ninja Assassin will do well in Nov. Open up a few more doors, or at the very least a window!

LOL DUDE, THIS IS THE MOST HILARIOUS SHIT EVER (http://community.livejournal.com/omonatheydidnt/891510.html). No idea how concrete this is, but if Megan Fox thinks that being a crazy persistent stalker with her begging for Rain to date her, she's seriously more delusional than I thought!

LOL IKR? I never had a strong opinion on Rain but, honestly, if this is true I applaud him. Megan Fox should stop making a fool of herself, that and gtfo forever.

The worst thing about Glee is that you have to wait til September to see more of it. Fox is evil like that. I would be so pissed if Fox cancels this show.

Date: 2009-06-30 11:37 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] rogueslayer452.livejournal.com
I'll be pissed too. IT'S SO GOOD AND CUTE AND GAH! They cannot cancel it, I forbid them too. So many good shows are biting it on their network (naturally, of course) that I want them to preserve this one!

I can't wait for Glee episodes to keep coming!!! It's like Popular, but with music!!!!!

I don't think Virtuality stands a chance of getting continued. As for pitching it to SciFi, I don't think it's going to happen either, having in mind that the pilot was really expensive to shoot. I don't think SciFi has that kind of budget.

From: [identity profile] rogueslayer452.livejournal.com
ITOTALLYAGREEOMG! It's so cute and fun, and I have "Don't Stop Believing" on repeat because it's just so amazing. :DD

Even so I would like to think that if SciFi picked it up it would do well without a big budget (didn't BSG not have a huge budget to begin with anyway, and look at how well they did?) The optimist in me wants to believe something may happen, although I realize that it's definitely slim to none right now anyway.

I think Virtuality would work as a series, but also is good left off where it is, so I'm cool either way.

Too bad I don't live anywhere near San Fransisco.

From: [identity profile] rogueslayer452.livejournal.com
But there's still a lot of unanswered questions, and not even the kind where it can be left off where it's at in my opinion. There's this threat in their modules that they have no idea how it originated from, what's happening on Earth and everything else. I mean, we only got the jist of things, but I feel like there should be at least a follow up if nothing else because I need explanations, even vague ones just to see where things could have gone. You know?

Date: 2009-07-01 12:11 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] noybusiness.livejournal.com
Yeah, personally, I don't mind filling in the blanks, but it would be nice to get a Q&A with the producers to explain these things, at the very least.

Say, do you know about the Torchwood radio dramas? Asylum yesterday (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00lg4c7), Golden Age today (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00lg4nq), and The Dead Line tomorrow.

Date: 2009-07-04 03:37 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] rogueslayer452.livejournal.com
Huh, I haven't heard of those. Are these official like little dramas given by the actors or are they fan created? From the looks of it, it seems rather official and legit.

Date: 2009-07-04 03:56 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] noybusiness.livejournal.com
They're official, with all the actors, and even the sound effects and music are the same as in a televised episode. The Dead Line became available today (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00lg4vz).

They're pretty good, very Torchwood in feel! My favorite is Golden Age.

So, what did you think of the 25 Coolest Cylons video on Youtube?

Speaking of Youtube, I know of someone there that does great piano versions of Doctor Who and Torchwood music. Sleepers Awake!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3KY_kAcxOg&feature=related The Daleks and Davros: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EUGkC0oq5w&feature=channel Torchwood Overture: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXj34Rb7bMw&feature=channel

I found it very interesting, including the reimagined series with the old series (which I've only seen clips from, so seeing those Cylons I kept thinking "aha they're men in costumes!" while some of the others, like Lucifer and the Imperious Leader, were just plain ridiculous looking. XD)

Those are very interesting and impressive music covers there. I've been learning to play pieces of music on the piano most recently, particularly some BSG.

I love the music they used, I miss that tune from the Miniseries. I'm pleased they rated Anders a high 4, and it's good that they included lesser knowns like Scar (Scar!), Skydiving Centurion, and Sweet Eight (you caught The Face of the Enemy, right?). Their 1 and 2, Tigh and D'Anna, are arguably the most badass of the lot. What would your list be like?

Date: 2009-07-04 06:10 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] rogueslayer452.livejournal.com
The music was well chosen, indeed. I loved those mentions of Scar and the Skydiving Centurion and the Sweet Eight (who inevitably turned out to be the manipulative Eight in the webisodes).

Though I'm saddened there's no head!Six or Natalie featured. :( They would be high ranking on my list, for sure. Natalie because she was fierce and hardcore, like whoa, and head!Six because who can leave her out? Seriously. I think my list would be cheating since I'd have mostly a lot of the Six models, heh.

Date: 2009-07-04 02:39 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] noybusiness.livejournal.com
Yeah, I'd include Natalie, Sonja, Lida, (the Six that slept with Baltar in Blood on the Scales), the raven-haired Six from Torn, the traumatixed Six from Faith, and the black-suited Six from the Helo arc. Including Head Six is cheating, 'cause she's really an angel. We'll see Shelly Godfrey again in The Plan! I'd also include the Pilot Eight from Face of the Enemy and the pseudo-Athena from The Hub.

Date: 2009-07-04 06:18 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] rogueslayer452.livejournal.com
I honestly don't think it's cheating adding head!Six, because to me she's at the top of the list no matter what. ;)

Date: 2009-07-04 06:42 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] noybusiness.livejournal.com
But she's not a Cylon. Ah, well. They did make the Sixes in her image according to the comic. And who can say no to her.

Date: 2009-07-04 06:47 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] rogueslayer452.livejournal.com
I know that. But she's still on my list anyway, because she's fierce and manipulative and you seriously don't want to piss her off. And yeah, nobody should say no to her. ;D

I need to pick up the Final Five comics.
