I just want to thank everyone for putting up with some of my real life dealings, especially the new people I've friended. I don't normally post rantings consisting of RL that much and I don't want to seem repetitive and whiny about it all, even though I know I have every right to rant about anything here. So thank you, I love you all. ♥

Saw Terminator Salvation, and I liked it. I enjoyed it very much as a matter of fact. I know nothing will surpass the brilliance of the first two films, but it was A LOT better than T3, I liked Christian Bale as John Connor and was engrossed with the story of Marcus, and it connected certain things together and made for a nice ending for a possible continuation. Which will happen, as we well know. The Terminator mythology will live on years from now because this is a timeless story to be told.

Plus I really love the action and explosions and blowing shit up, and the many many guns and terminators and machines.

Speaking of, now that FOX has mistakenly canceled TSCC I really would've loved to see how John would've come to make it in the post-apocalyptic future. I know I've said that the finale wrapped everything up perfectly, but now I can't help but wonder how they would've done it had the show been renewed. Also, I don't think we ever learned what happened to Derek when he was down inside that room with the music, did we? Damn.

I'm contemplating on seeing Angels and Demons after seeing the special on the History Channel the other night (along with the fascinating viewing of The History of Sex and Life After People, the former very interesting and the latter kind of depressing in a morbidly fascinating kinda way). I hadn't watched the previous film or read the books, however I do know what happens in both so, I guess I just want to see how the film does.

Then there's some talk about a possible remaking of Buffy without Joss Whedon. WHICH I SAY BIATCHES YOU CANNOT HAVE BUFFY WITH JOSS WHEDON, THAT SHIT IS BANANAS. But now there's something that it's all a fluke? Idek.

Thanks bb. :) I think because of my current position with externship and getting a job there'll be more of those kinds of posts, which I've never done before except on rare occasions. But it's nice to have friends willing to listen and offer support. ♥

There's some rumors floating around that the director of the original Buffy movie way back when is thinking of remaking it. I mean if that's what they want I'd say let them, but as far as I'm concerned Buffy will always be associated with Joss Whedon and vice versa. So it's not so much of a comeback as a "what the fuck is going on?" because right now, it's just talk and nothing concrete as far as I've read. So, idk.

I wanted to read the books after I saw the special on angels and demons. So far, I've heard that the movie was either boring, or okay.

I saw part of life after people, and I thought it was boring but interesting at the same time lol.

I have no clue, I mean I know what happens and everything and quite frankly the books themselves are more or less kind of that philosophical thriller which might add to the boring/okayness to some people. But I don't know, I like that kind of stuff so we'll just see if I ever get around to watching it. Or perhaps I should watch The Da Vinci Code first?

It was definitely interesting because it's contemplating how the world would evolve without humans interfering, sort of that scientific speculation about how things would just kind of become a wasteland.

The news about Buffy had me staring blankly, then sputtering wordlessly, then blocking it from my mind. There's NO WAY this can work... it makes me sad that those people have rights to such a brilliant idea when it clearly came from and is best served by Whedon.

What Whedon has is special - he just rocks at what he does! Anyone else gonna make a series about a vampire with a soul investigating crime in LA? I'm not going to be interested because it'll just be shite, more likely than not. It's all in his characterisation, dialogue and, well, everything.

If this does go ahead, and I REALLY hope it doesn't, it doesn't need to, then I hope he is involved, at least a bit. Because otherwise, it'll suck.

I'd love to know what he thinks about it.

*huggles huggles* I watched Sex: The Revolution with my mother and that was pretty interesting~ it was funny because she's so conservative, lolol "If you shacked up with some guy, I wouldn't pay for your wedding because you would already be married!" lol~ such fun.

They seem to really want to bring Buffy back all the time... but really, who would be buffy? Isn't SMG kinda older and I haven't heard about Jon Marster (sp???) since... hmm...

Heh, the episode of the program I was watching was about Eastern culture and sex, and they are very much comfortable with their sexuality and sexual practices. Definitely not like in the West, that's for sure. XDD

There's been talk about bringing it back, but it has always been surrounding Joss (there is a continuation from the tv series, but in comic book form that he's a part of). And also some spinoffs like there was talk about a Spike spinoff and a Giles spinoff, neither worked out. But yeah. No, this kinda news, which might be a bluff idek, seems that the want to remake the ORIGINAL movie which has nothing to do with the television series. So, idk.

Eh, SMG has pretty much made it clear she wants nothing to do with Buffy anymore. And about James Marsters (Spike), he's been in several different things since the show ended...he was recently in Torchwood.

Since in a sense the series was a slight continuity of the movie, somewhat, the general idea of it really. This is Joss's baby, his creation. I don't see anyone else remaking it without fucking it up, tbh.
