Long days are long and exhausting, but the week is almost over so, yay?

I've only been kinda watching Heroes, but I get the jist of what's happening. But I have to say Bryan Fuller's brutal honesty regarding how the show previously had been to what is going to become of the future is ridiculously awesome. Because it's true. I would hope Kring would admit to this, but coming from Byran Fuller is kinda better.

I did catch Medium Monday and holy crap, not only was it a "to be continued" episode but there was MORENA BACCARIN and JAMES VAN DER BEEK? Playing brother and sister only together in that way without really being brother and sister? Nicely twisted. Also, people have to realize that James is so totally not Dawson anymore. He plays creepy very well, like when he was in Criminal Minds. Fucking scary.

I've realized that if were to ever go to a convention, especially for SPN, that's nearby I need to get notification about it beforehand. Like WAYYY prior to the approaching date because it'll most likely be sold out by the time I get wind of where and when and who's coming. Of course the incidents where you are going to see a particular actor and the inconvenience of them canceling at the last minute, traveling the distance and then everything else in between. Yeah. I'm impressed with people who do go despite those complications. I'm merely in the thinking stages if going to a convention were a possibility, because I really do kinda want to but there are those cons as well as pros. So, I dunno.

And yes, this is primarily because I want to see and be dazzled by Misha in person. I AM SHALLOW OKIES, SUE ME.

Come to Chicago in November! It's during the beginning of the season, so the filming schedule is more relaxed and the guests usually make it. Not to mention there will be a sizable Misha-fangirl population attending. >D

The heroes stuff is so true though. I mean, I know nothing would compare to the first season, but it did kind of get out there. Out of the three seasons, the second one was the worst. It's not that bad, but it wasn't the best lol.

Nothing is better than being surrounded by loads of Misha-loving ppls and MISHA HIMSELF! It would be kinda epic, really, feeling the love all around. I'm definitely taking it into consideration, because that epicness will forever be awesome. :D

Honestly? I thought the second season was great. Not up to par with how amazing S1 was of course, but definitely not bad and had the writer's strike not happened it would've gone further. It was the first have of S3 (V3) that was the worst, imo. So horribly cluttered that made little sense, it didn't have that continuity feel like it does right now. In fact, this second half doesn't even feel remotely as fucked up as the first half did, and while I'm still weighing things out because of drifting from the show I find it more tolerable than V3 did. Srsly.

I want that Medium episode. I remember James in The Rules of Attraction (and sharing a kiss with Ian Somerhalder, yum) and how creepy he was... this should be right up his alley. And with Morena too!

I agree with Bryan Fuller too-he is pretty awesome. I'm still watching Heroes and I think it's improving each week.

DUDE. You should go to a convention-you would love it. Misha is a very good reason for going to a convention. They are a lot of fun and you get to hang out with fans and generally awesome people. I highly recommend them!

Really? I liked the first half of season three lol. They were still missing the boat like in season two though. The current volume is pretty good, some episodes have been having a season one feel to them. I'm glad that all that "stop the virus" stuff is over, but when they were talking about their plans for what volume three was supposed to be, I kind of wish that it wasn't cut out lol.

Hmm, that Heroes link makes me want to start watching again but seriously, I don't feel enthusiastic enough about it. Maybe when I'll have more time.

I want to go to cons, too! But dammit, I live in Europe.

Meh. V3 just didn't have anything good in it, nothing made sense, characters I liked I ended up hating (or rather the crappy storylines they got), etc. I liked the idea of how they wanted to do V3, but how it was executed...no. Didn't work. Oh well, that's how I feel about it. At least they're picking up to actually become watchable again. My love for the show has dwindled away, but if Bryan Fuller is making sure things get back on track then I'm all for that.

I'm just tired of getting letdown by this show in regards to the promise of it "getting better".

That's how I'm feeling. Ever since the disappointment that was "Villains" I just stopped being optimistic about the show. It's sad, how I once loved it and now I could care less about what happens and spoilers and all that. I've just moved on from that show. Heh.

I agree. I might not be following it religiously like I once had, but it's nice to finally get some of the continuity flow and feel back into the show.

I went to a convention last year. I didn't go to any of the panels (though I wish I had) or get any autographs (not sure if that's for me), but I did really enjoy the atmosphere and the excitement. Everyone was lovely and friendly and I would definitely recommend it.

Thanks for the Bryan Fuller link - I am really liking Heroes right now, though I also enjoyed Villians. It was season two that made me grouchy. lol!

Hiro became really unlikable in volume two, and it just got worse in volume three. I think he's becoming slightly more likable again, and Ando was always my favorite of the two lol.

I think it's actually getting better, and now that Bryan Fuller is back, there's more hope lol. I think their mistake is not deciding how they want the show to end, so they know what they're working toward. So it's kind of all over the place, on a "that sounded like a great idea" instead of "this is the big picture that we're working toward". I'm just worried that it'll get canceled before they figure that out.

Exactly, there has been no definite ending that want to work towards. Nearly all my shows have a pre-planned idea for a beginning, middle, and end and what they would like to accompish between then. Heroes is lacking in that direction and it's becoming like the next Smallville; losing its focus on what they want to do and merely just doing things for the sake of ratings. Which is sad, but that's how it appears to me.

It seemed like they had a plan in the first season, but it turned out they had a plan for the first season only lol.

I never watched Smallville, but that's kind of sad.

The thing about conventions is even with that atmosphere I've heard tales of the "rotten apples" of the bunch so to speak. But it would really be amazing to be amongst others that enjoy something as much as I do. :)

Bryan Fuller is kinda awesome. Comparing S2 and "Villains", I prefer S2 because at least that was watchable sans a few storylines. V3 was the one volume that made me grouchy. It turned me off of the show completely, but I'm slowly starting to come around again.
