But when angels fall, they become human, and all demons were once human; so it's not like an angel can fall straight into Hell, it's more angel -> human -> demon. This makes sense to me because any angel who disobeys or questions can fall, but only the truly bad seeds then get sent to Hell and become demons (unless they make a deal, like Dean did).

Ah, this is true, and that makes much more sense considering. Though now that Anna's gotten her grace back when she wasn't meant to because she did disobey hence falling, this means trouble. In my mind at least, I have no idea where they're heading with that but it's obvious they'll bring it up again.

unless it was at the end of the series, and then Dean raised baby!Castiel as his own. That would be HILARIOUS.

I rewatched that scene and given the time yeah, that appears about right. Still a gnarly way of going about it. Yeesh. But heh, Ruby would die to save the boys so I guess it makes sense.

Though now that Anna's gotten her grace back when she wasn't meant to because she did disobey hence falling, this means trouble.

Oh, yes. I agree. I'm pretty excited about this, actually. When Anna was human, she had limited power, she wasn't a threat until she started eavesdropping; if she had been, they would have killed her a long time ago. Now that she's got her grace back, she's dangerous. She's not a mortal, she's a rogue angel, a being of incredible power who isn't part of the fold. How she'll play into the rest of the season, I have no idea, but I think it's going to be awesome. It'll be an interesting addition to the Winchesters + angels dynamic (and the dynamics between angels themselves; Uriel considered Anna an abomination, but Castiel was sympathetic, and I'm curious as to what that means for his character arc), though I have no idea how important she'll be or how often she'll pop in.

Though I'll be sad if the role she has to play is of the angel with the special connection to Dean, because Castiel, dude. Castiel. XD

If this season hasn't already passed the epic scale already, this would definitely have outdone everything. I mean they are setting something up for some big damn climax, and yes it all depends on how it plays out but, dude. Seriously. How they're dealing with the mytharc with the angels and demons, Heaven and Hell and the Winchester involvement....I can't fathom how big of a bang things'll wind up in the end.

How they're dealing with the mytharc with the angels and demons, Heaven and Hell and the Winchester involvement....I can't fathom how big of a bang things'll wind up in the end.

I know, it's too awesome. They've got all these different players with different angles, and seeing how they all collide when the context is the apocalypse is going to be epic; just seeing how they interact already is made of win. OMG, this show.

I mean I liked her background reveal and I'm betting she'll be around, if not physically than by mention in passing like Lilith, but it's all about Dean and Castiel bb.

Oh, she'll definitely be around. If she weren't going to be an important player, she would have been killed in this episode. I don't know how often she's going to be showing up (and I suspect that when she does, it'll be a different actress, because she'll have to possess somebody just like Castiel does), but I would be very, very surprised if we never see her again. Which is natural and I'm fine with it, just as long as we get more delicious Dean/Castiel as well. :D
