That is so...fetch!
Jan. 30th, 2008 09:33 pm01. Tomorrow is a new episode of Supernatural! The first of five, I believe. I'm so excited!
02. So, there's people out there who watch ANTM right? Well I've been sporatically watching some episodesshaddup it's my guilty pleasure okay, nothing new but just from the old cycles and while yes, it's entertaining sometimes I just want to smack some of the girls upside the head. Like for instance Jade in Cycle 6. The bitch just cannot shut up, with all her excuses and kissing up the Tyra and the judges, with her diva-like attitude and thinking she's all that, and finally when she got eliminated she actually mentioned that her modeling was "overlooked" and that Tyra made a "mistake". Pssh, bitch please. They pretty much told you upfront that you took great photographs, it's your personality that stinks. Modeling isn't about just a pretty face, it's about how one carries themselves and if you are likeable enough to work with. Jade, obviously, is not one of those people. She thinks too highly of herself and it is due to that narsassitic attitude that got her booted.
I'm surprised she lasted that long, but with reality shows they have to keep the troublemakers and the bitches on as long as they can to prolong the ridiculous drama, therefore getting ratings. And it's obvious that Jade was playing it up for the cameras, with her melodramatic poetry that spun out of her mouth. If this was actually REAL LIFE than a reality show, Jade would've been axed long ago.
Though aside from Drama Queen Jade, in each cycle there are always the catty and bitchiness between the girls for whatever reason. I'm just amazed at all the childish things these girls are willing to do to each other, it's like petty high school drama. And even their stupidity comes out, too. I know it's the way the show is edited and all that, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to smack some sense into some of them. Seriously.
Most will ask why I watch this show if I can't stand reality TV. Well, honestly I don't watch for the drama, which is mildly entertaining but I could do without the all that nonsense -- it's like hi, act mature like you're supposed to for your age kthnx. I mainly watch for the fashion, the concepts for the photoshoots which are very creative and imaginative and how some of the girls pull it off, and the judging in the end. The kind of "telling the truth" to the girls and giving them advice. I do kind of miss Janice, she was hardcore and certainly not someone you want to piss off, but she tells it like it is. I just don't ever want to be judged by her. Heh.
So yeah, ANTM is the one and only reality show I watch. It's just so addicting.
03. Okay, please tell me I'm not crazy. The other night I was surfing around and, honest to God, I saw a Mohinder ad. Just right there, plastered on the side of screen. And then last night I saw it again when I was searching on YouTube. I'm not going insane, right? Others have seen this too, I'm hoping. Just, GAH!
04. 10 Things I Hate About You was on the other day, and I do love that movie but now seeing it I feel slightly sad when seeing Heath. But then my sister was watching random BtVS episodes and I sat and joined her temporarily and it was all good. God, I'd forgotten how much I loved that show. And Giles, who will soon be Repo Man. And Spike, who got to makeout with Jack Harkness on Torchwood. Ah fandom.
05. Studios to reprise Freddy Kreuger? I love the whole NOES series, and I can't imagine anyone else other than Robert Englund to play Freddy. I'm not sure if this is a remake or just a continuation of the franchise, we need more information for that. So I'm holding my opinions until then.

Date: 2008-01-31 10:28 am (UTC)Yes. Mohinder ad. Just, OMG, if I knew how to screencap from my computer I would but I've only seen it TWICE these last two days, both unexpectedly too. It basically says something along the lines of "Join Suresh's Dream Study" and the subtitle underneath that is: "dreams are an open window to the mind" or something like that, and how we can "enroll" to help Mohinder with his research. I have NO IDEA what it's all about, and the second time I saw it I was afraid of clicking on the ad in case it was hidden spam or something. IDK!! I was just thinking OMG MOHINDER HAS AN AD?! OMG!

Date: 2008-01-31 10:36 am (UTC)But I watch for the same reasons - I love the photoshoots. I'm just interested in models and modeling and fashion, not as a fashionista but from an aesthetic standpoint. I love picking a favorite girl and rooting for her. I can't stand the drama or the mean girls. My favorite cycle is C5, but I'm just about the only person who liked that one.

Date: 2008-01-31 11:58 am (UTC)I haven't been watching the current cycle, but I definitely agree that the photoshoots are made of awesome. I'm not sure about picking a favorite girl but I do like seeing which girl does better in one photoshoot of an episode than the others. I do judge whether certain girls are better than others, model-wise and how they're precieved on the show, but mainly I like seeing the process of modeling and the fashions and the tips they give (and seeing how the girls manage to go through with those little advices). It's just an engaging show for the eyecandy, really.

Date: 2008-01-31 03:02 pm (UTC)2. Omg I hates Jade! She was so mean to everyone and so full of herself. I think we were both watching the same marathon because I remember it coming on a few days ago. Wasn't she terrible right up until the end? I like how she did that little bow and tyra like, cracked up laughing at her ridiculousness. 8D She was quite the crazy bean. I also watch for the fashion and wonderful concepts. It's a very addictive show that I usualy hate to miss, even if i tell myself it doesn't matter.
3.........I want to see. Mohinder! *~~* I miss that man so much.
4. I can't even watch that movie without getting teary eyed now. All the copies are checked out at my library which is a little interesting.
5. Say what? I'm going to have to check this out considering what big horror movie fan I am.
I think I'm finally breaking out of the shyness of commenting on your journal. u.u

Date: 2008-01-31 09:34 pm (UTC)Oh yes, I am extremely angry with you now girl:p Nah, it's cool. I'm just so excited that it's coming back on, for as many episodes they have left anyway.2. Totally, she was really full of herself right up until the end. There's a difference with wanting to win the competition and being so self-absorbed that you think nothing other than yourself, which is what Jade did frequently throughout the whole competition. Yeah, I think Tyra and the judges just thought her antics really ridiculous to begin with, and that's why they kept her around to create that. But she bugged me, a lot.
3. I WANT MAH MOMO! ;_; I miss him terribly, too. And with this ad thing floating around on the Interwebs I'm just...I swear I'm going crazy from not seeing him on my screen again.
4. Hmm, that is interesting. But yeah, even though I love that movie and can quote from it, it's kind of sad now. It's a hilarious film, and Heath's character is made of awesome, I shouldn't be sad! I should be happy!
5. I'm a HUGE horror fan and I do love NOES. But if there's one thing I can't stand is remakes, especially remakes of good classics. Hopefully this new addition won't be a remake but rather just another film added to the franchise. I wonder that, if Robert Englund is not returning as Freddy, are they going to find another actor just equally as terrifying in the role? I don't know. It's all pretty vague right now, since they've just announced it.

Date: 2008-01-31 04:28 pm (UTC)Janice was awesome but Twiggy is so incredibly lovely and gives a much better balance to the judges panel. With Janice she and Tyra were always competing for the batshit crazy award. Also Twiggy seriously makes me forgive her for ushering in the "ultra skinny looks like a 12 year old boy" thing because she is so seemingly down to earth and kind and soft spoken but honest and with it.
Also "Awww Buffy!" and 10 Things I Hate About You as well ("I know you can be overwhelmed and you can be underwhelmed, but can you ever just be whelmed?" "I think you can in Europe.")

Date: 2008-01-31 09:46 pm (UTC)oohh, they should do something like that.Ah yes, I love Twiggy. She does balance the panel because most of the judges are too critical while she's softer when critiquing the girls. Though the Janice moments were awesome, I liked her brutal honesty. She can be seen as the Mean Girl Panelist or whatever but seriously, I think there are some girls, especially in the later cycles, that need that kind of hard critiquing and criticising and laying down the cold truth for them. Plus, while I should feel bad about it, I like seeing the Diva Bitches getting put in their place.
It's a nostalgic feeling, with BtVS and 10 Things I Hate About You. I can quote from BOTH of them and suddenly I'm like "oh god, I miss these so much!"

Date: 2008-01-31 10:29 pm (UTC)Yes. Nostalgia. I want to watch them both. Also I really want a 10 Things I Hate About You icon (possibly something with the guidance counselor) all the sudden. My sister destroyed my copy of the movie and never replaced it so sadly I can't watch it without renting. downloading, or buying. I may have to do one of those soon though. It is too bad boyfriend already left work in Folsom so I cannot tell him to pick me up a copy from his store today. I guess I could watch Buffy though.

Date: 2008-02-01 03:41 am (UTC)Jade = Uber Stuckup Bitch to the Extreme. Okay, maybe not as extreme as she could've been but, seriously, she grates my nerves.
