Do you Spice?
Apr. 30th, 2023 02:16 am++ Richard Armitage recently revealed that he has a male partner, and discusses a bit more about sexuality and his life, both personal and professional. While his private life is none of our business (same goes for anyone else, celebrity or not), I'm so happy that he's in a more comfortable place in his life to talk about it a bit more openly than before. Honestly, the whole article is a delightful read, I love how eloquent he is when phrasing things. Either way, I'm very proud of him.
++ We got our first exclusive look at Dune, Part 2. Obviously these are just still shots and we'll have to wait to see more from whenever the teaser trailer will be released for the rest of us, but I really do want to see some of the full body shots of the costumes, particularly for Princess Irulan. I love the casting, Florence is a fantastic choice for Irulan, but she needs to be more regal than that. (If there is any criticism I have for these new Dune films is the lack of creativity in their costuming, like say what you will about the 1984 film and the 00s Syfy miniseries, but at least they weren't afraid of going bold with the costume designs. Frank Herbert's Dune Chronicles are weird, let the costuming and world-building in the adaptations reflect that! Embrace the weird, c'mon!) Other than that, I'm just happy that we're getting something for it, because I did really enjoy the first part and I want to see how they'll adapt the second half of the book. I also hope that Hans Zimmer returns for the score because the soundtrack(s) for the first film? *chefs kiss*
++ When it comes to cdramas, I've been watching Once Upon A Time In Lingjian Mountain, and it's absolutely ridiculously bonkers. I mean, it is a comedy after all, but still, it's just enjoyable fun to watch.
I've also been gif-watching Till The End Of The Moon, mostly because it looks pretty, and also because Luo Yunxi plays essentially the lovechild of Mo Ran and Chu Wanning from The Husky and His White Cat Shizun, ironically because Luo Yunxi plays Chu Wanning in the live action adaption of that, whenever that will come out from being in censorship limbo. But still, love to see a man unhinged and at least this will tide me over untilif and when Immortality finally gets released.
