Speaking of which, there seems to be some legal controversy regarding Rain's popularity as he's planning on touring and promoting himself in the U.S. Unfortunately for him, the legal issue stands when a rock band entitled "Rain" wants the Korean artist to change his name. Excuse me, but what the flippity-fuck? Now, I'm not really a fanatic over him but I do like his music and I think this whole legal battle is just idiotic and stupid. This reminds me of the whole "Wyrd Sisters" and "Weird Sisters" legal debate for the fourth HP film, just because a fictional band had the same name, just spelled differently. But this...this is just ridiculous. First off, they are two different genres with two entirely different audience attractions. The whole thing is just stupid, and it should've never been an issue in the first place. I don't want his name to change, and I doubt it'll be Bi or Rain(Bi)since many Americans are immature twats that'll stir up much trouble if that happened, so many are speculating that it'll be changed to his birth-given name, Jeong Ji Hoon. But Lord knows that'll be mispronounced if he does make it here in the States.
He shouldn't have to change his name, period. I can't think of him as anything else other than Rain or Bi (pronounced like the letter "B", which in Korean translates to "rain"). *le sigh*
Now I've gotten that out of the way, it's time for Week Two ofhmd_tuesdays:
1. What character do you resemble most, personality-wise?
This is difficult to answer. I'd say a little bit of House, a little bit of Wilson, a dab of Cuddy and perhaps like 0.01% of Cameron. It's really hard to explain, though I feel that the House and Wilson personalities contrast each other nicely; like a Yin-and-Yang, which is why they are so perfect paired together as long-time friends. There's that stubborn side that is Gregory House, yet that other half that likes to compromise and is the morality base of things. Cuddy for the obvious of strength and determination when being surrounding by idiotic things in life, the Kicking Ass And Taking Names part anyway. And I mentioned Cameron because, although I dislike her character, I am female and my emotions do sometimes distract me from important things. But I get over it and move on, and that's where the similarities end.
2. Which character upsets you the most?
Cameron, by a long-shot. I never actually had a problem with her until she started blackmailing House into going out with her. Then she plays this cat and mouse game with him, sending him flirtatious signals just really got under my skin. Also her need to have an emotional attachment was just getting old, and she continued to push the limits to her curiosity and take advantage of her job and House in general. Okay, perhaps in the third season she began to grow on me just a little, but her character overall hasn't really impressed me. The only time I rooted for Cameron was when she gotten herself high and had hot sex with Chase, and that's about it. Otherwise she just annoys me.
3. What's your favorite song used in a House episode?
God, now I have to go look through what songs played during which episodes. Oh well, I guess it would have to be "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC when House bought his new bitchin' cane. Or, as I like to call it, the Metalli-cane. Hee. Also, I like the theme song "Teardrop" by Massive Attack.
4. If you could tell the producers one thing regarding the show, what would it be?
The relationship between House and Wilson, obviously, and how developed it is and how I love their dynamic in their seriously dysfunctional friendship. I would also confront them about the House and Cuddy implications and wonder if anything is going to happen between themlike please, pretty please producers and writers of the show?. There's been hints and subtext with their obvious banter that there might be something between them. Yeah, and I would say that this is SO the House/Wilson/Cuddy show. *g*
5. Which episode would you pick to showcase House to someone who has never even heard of the show before. Why?
"Three Stories", because it's a very trippy and comedy episode and will give some light to House's current state, i.e. his leg problem and how he interacts with people. It's also lighthearted fun as an episode. Perhaps "Damned If You Do" and "House vs. God" because it deals with the science/medical treatments versus miracles/religious beliefs, which are very thought-provoking without being preachy like with some shows.
